Okay, i am 15, nearly 16, and have never had a boyfriend. I am having a severe confidence lapse at the moment, as i am a size 14/16, and most of my friends are a size 8/10. I feel really big compared to most my mates, and wonder if anyone else thinks so too. Please please view my profile, and, comment on me. If you think i look fat and ugly, please tell me, if not, please tell me. Thank you in advance everyone!! From Lauren xxx

Hi Lauren
I hadnt even kissed a guy until I was almost 16 It really bothered me at the time...but as I grew up, I wondered why it bothered me so much
If you think its to do with your looks, then why not do something about it? Go to your doctor, they may give you a pass to get into clubs and gyms half price... it'll do you a world of good whether its losing weight, toning up or just improving your general wellbeing and fitness... Also maybe get a new hair style, nice new makeup or clothes...little things can give you a confidence boost
Do you ever look at some other girls and think...hmm...they aint even all that nice looking, why are the guys falling at their feet? The answer, is because, theyre confident...
You need to love yourself before someone else can love you
BUT dont be doing all this for them Cos trust me, youll have PLENTY of boyfriends and wonder what the hell you saw in any of them...boys take a lot longer to mature than girls! You need to do it for yourself...
And anyway, if they dont want you for your beautiful curvy size 14/16 then they aint worth it...dont go for someone who only wants you cos they think you look sexy, you want them to find you beautiful no matter what, even if you were standing there in your baggy pyjamas, no makeup on, hair a mess...
Dont look so hard. A nice guy will come I dont particularly recommend it, but try talking in chatrooms and just see the sort of positive responses you get...you'll see that its nothing to do with your looks
There is someone for everyone out there Youll notice that as you get older Nobody is ugly...its just a matter of opinion
If youve got good girly friends, then hang out wi them...your friends will be there longer than a guy will

Good luck x

There is nothing wrong with you chick. You will most probably loose your weight as you get older as the majority of it when your that age is puppy fat. dont let it get you down. you cant help the way you look. and if ppl dont like it then they are v shallow.

The average dress-size in the UK is 14-16 so you're hardly fat! I looked at your photo and you look very pretty, you shouldn't worry. Most girls feel self-conscious about their bodies, but believe me LOTS of women wish they were more curvy. You're lucky to already have a feminine figure at such a young age, and your size 8 mates probably envy you.
However if your low self esteem affects you more than you've let on here, and if it gets you down and makes you feel bad about yourself you might want to go and talk to your doctor or a councillor about it. They can either talk through your worries with you or put you in contact with someone who can help you to feel better about yourself.
