I recently started a relationship with a man in the past three weeks. We have been sexually intimate four times. Three times sexual penetration occurred, and once just oral sex to each other.

Since I've been with him, my vagina has become irritated. I was recently tested for STD's, which came back negative. As of Sept 11th, 2007, I began Depo Provera the 150 MG injection. Yet everytime we had sexual penetration he used a Latex condom; however, we did not for oral sex. I noticed my vagina stinging and my face reddening and itchy after sex.

Over this last weekend, I went into the doctor office(no GYN exam was done) to see what this irritation is being caused by: latex condoms, semen allergy, or an STD. I have no rash but I sting all over. When I noticed this purple discoloration, it freaked me out because it looked like a plum in hue and color.

I was given a Nystatin/Traimcinolone ointment with Diflucan in case it was a yeast infection. I am really concerned. My STD test said every thing was negative yet I am stinging, burning and red,even plum purple on my vagina on the outside and inner walls.

I am calling my doctor to make an appointment ASAP. Yet, in the meantime, could someone offer some insight as to what is going on with me? I appreciate any suggestion and advice.

It turns out that the Depo shot caused a false dianosis of Lichen Sclerosis. Instead the Depo shot was too strong and my body did not respond positively to it.
