I can totally sympathise with you! I was recently diagnosed with a condition called Vaginismus, which is involuntary spasms of the vagina muscles due to stress and possibly infection!
Sex made me cry it was so sore, and I was embarrassed to talk to my doctor so I went private to see a gynaecologist. I was tested positive for an infection called Haemalitic Strep which I was given anti biotics for! (apparently everyone carries this, but it becomes active when you are run down! Nothing to worry about!)
The antibiotics cleared the infection but not the problem. I was also at this time having problems with my boyfriend and my consultant said that I was associating my problems with him to the pain I had during sex and my body was simply saying no! Its been almost 9months now since we've had sex and I got a set of vaginal dialators on prescription which have helped a little (they're not the most glamorous things to use!)
The main worry I have is how this is affecting my relationship with my boyfriend. He has been so supportive and never complains but I know its hard on him.
Go and see your doctor, there is help out there but you have to bare all (litterally) to get it!

Maybe cos of the suspected cheating, you were unable to fully relax with him, it was maybe on your mind subconsciously. Have you tried using lubricant? it will help you 'get started' without making your eyes water!

Hi,
Ive got the same problem. Ive had my problem for about 2 years now. The doctors told me it was Thrush, and they have since given me 7 treatments over 2 years for it but its still there. I called my doctors the other day and said that its still so painful and its ruining my sex life with my boyfriend and they then told me that I dont have Thrush and there was no sign of it from the swab I had done 2 years ago!!! I have an appointment tonight so im hoping to get it all sorted.
Wish me luck!

hi girls, look into a condition called lichen sclerosus. This is what I was eventually diagnosed with following years of painful sex. It is not always picked up by many drs as they don't seem to know enough about it despite it being quite common. Search it on google and read the info to see if it matches your problems - it may not but it's worth a try! hope all gets better soon for you both xx suz
