hi hunni, I've had the same problem for a long time. I've tried alsorts of hair-care, from cheap to expensive, and i've found that for me Herbal Essences Regulating Shampoo and Conditioner works wonders. Its cheap, but really effective at cleansing and preventing the greasiness at the roots, and the conditioner is light enough for this, but also manages to moisturise my dry ends too. I put lots of the conditioner on my ends 1st, and then a minute later i put a thin amount on the top and front, and then rinse quite quickly so the roots arent over moisturised. I sometimes use some extra Smoothing/Deep conditioning Herbal Essences conditioner, just on the very dry tips, if needed, for extra softness through the lengths and less frizz. Its a winning combination for me, and doesnt break the bank! HTH Marie. xxxxxxx

it sounds like your hair is mixed(greasy at the top and dry at the ends). Best shampoo that I can recommend is Joico - bit dear but very good value for money. you should try as well hair masks, especially with aloe vera - this will make your hair less freazy.
Let me know if that helps! Vio
