Hi Tracey,
I have thick, curly, long, waist length hair and have spent years looking for ways to tie it up in stunning styles with ease. You should look at this site:
http://www.talanha.com/
You can't go wrong with one of these beaded double hair combs or African Butterfly hair combs as they are called. Not only do they look great, they are conmfortable, easy to use and you can create many wonderful styles. There are instructions and examples of the styles on www.talanha.com
Oh yes, these clips come with a one year guarantee too!
Hope this helps,
June

Hi, anyone out there got any bright ideas. I`ve always had long hair and at the moment it is half way down my back with a layer. I look after it so its in lovely condition and it is thick with a wave to it. I`m willing to try any new style of putting it up as long as it doesnt look too solid. Thanks in advance as i`m sure there are loads of you that have creative streaks. Tracey xx

FRENCH ROLL gather hair as though your putting it in a ponytail, but dont tie. then twist hair, and pin on the crown. you can leave some hair out on the top, and gently back comb it to give it a bit more volume, or add wax, for a spiky effect
LOOSE, OR TIGHT BUNCHES
FRENCH PLAIT stat at the crown. section off 3 small sections of hair, as you plait it, gather another section from each side as you go down. do this until you have just 3 sections again, then carry on plait until you get to the ends.... alternatively, stop when you get to the nape of your neck. it allows it not to be as harsh.
im sure there are loads more, but i hope this helps a little. im not sure how helpful my instructions are though, lol
good luck.

You can find some pictures of "updo" hairstyles at www.updoprincess.com that might give you an idea of new ways to wear your hair.
