Hi,

A few weeks ago i had my hair dyed quite blonde and it really washes me out (it's also slightly ginger in places!). I'm naturally a mousy brown colour and have always had caramel colour highlights with a light light brown all over but this time I went blonde all over and I hate it! I can't afford to spend another £80 on getting it done again proffessionally so was going to buy a dye from the supermarket and do it myself a really light brown. How do I get it an even all over colour as my roots are already about 2 inches long and are considerably darker than the blonde. Also, will it go green? Heard loads of horror stories so just thought I'd check!

Any advice would be great!

Dont risk it, Go to a hairdresser. I brought a packet from the supermarket to do the same and my hair didnt go green but it was worse that before and left really dry. Try a local hairdressing college, its much cheaper.

You could try registering with the John Frieda Elite Hair club on-line, its free to join and they apparently give out free professional hair care advice. heres the link http://www.johnfrieda.co.uk/event.asp?action=entry-&eventc ode=jfelite_uk

Good luck, if cash permits pay a professional.
