"Bikini waxing"

Please can someone help me. I have had my bikini waxed a couple of time by a great beautician who is no longer working,(she's gone back to teaching) i found another one in yellow pages that came to my house, and god she was awful, I came up in big bruises after and she missed loads of hair and hurt me. So i decided to try and do it my myself with Veet ready to use, it was less painful but am bruising really easily. Can any body tell me what im doing wrong

sometimes if you are due on your period soon the area is alot more sensitive and alot more likely to bruise, its best done afterwards about 4 days

Are you making sure that your hair's long enough before you try to take it off? (about 5mm is recommended), and try not to go over the same bit of skin more than a couple of times. If you've got any stubborn hairs left over it's best to take them out with tweezers rather than continuing to wax the area.
