Hi everyone, I've been using body sprays for a while but I wanna get myself a nice bottle of perfume (not too expensive though!), trouble is I don't really know which to go for. Has anyone got any suggestions about how to choose a perfume? I'm also paranoid about choosing one which is too "heavy", I don't want to stink everyone out!

I have used perfumepoint.co.uk in the past and have always been excellent. They also have a fragrance finder which is helpful to a fragrance.

The best way is to see which fragrance group the perfumes you usually wear fall into and then find new fragrances that come from the same groups.

Contact your local FM fragrances distributor and they can organise a free fragrance testing session in your own home at a time and date to suit you. FM have over 130 different fragrance from the same fragrance families as the top brands and at a fraction of the price.

Your best bet it to go to your local Boots store. They have loads of testers ...... & they also have those little litmus paper sticks to spray the perfume onto (so you don't stink lol ) ..... Just try a few .... If you like a nice light fragrance .... try D&G Light Blue ... you may like that .... I bought a friend of mine a gift set for about £25 .... so not too expensive

It depends on when you're wanting to wear it. If it's for the daytime I'd go for something light and fruity, if it's for evening time, then something with musk. I quite like the new Eau Fraiche by Chanel. It's very light to wear and great for summer. I got it from Boots for about £30. You only need to use a tiny bit so it lasts quite a while.

Also, try some samples before you buy! Try one or two in the shop then leave them for a while because they smell different after half an hour than when you first spray them on!
