I used hibbiscrub, which i bought from Tescos pharmacy. I used them on my stiches and showered them (well) and let the air get to them to dry.
Hibbiscrub is around £10, but well worth it for peace of mind.
Oh i also bought minolin dressing and surgical tape to keep stiches from catching etc.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if somebody could please help me?
I've just had my boobs done abroad and its now time to clean my wounds and I have no idea what to do. I've looked at my information sheet and can't find these products in the UK and I didn't pay much attention to aftercare advice in the consultation as I was so nervous that I had be given a sedative which made me a bit vacant!
Please can someone let me know what I have to clean my wounds with, I'm really confused....

Thank you soooo much xxx

a scar heals better when nothing is applied when you shower just water and pat dry with clean towel, when youve had stitches out for first week becareful for infection so dont touch with hands you can apply iodine spray when youve had stitches or staples out after showering just make sure there dry espically with clean towel, after week you can start to wash them with soap but use something mild like dove, also scars heals better without compresses or dressings on them ,as long as you are careful with infection that means no touching with hands or using dirty towels you will be fine i had my bandage took off after 3 days had staples out 12 days later ,4 weeks later you cant tell hardly that the scar is there ,im now using oil on the scar now that the scabs have dropped off i had incision through the nipple good luck, lisaxx

I AM TEN DAYS POST OP AND I HAD MINE DONE WITH THG. THE CUTS WERE KEPT COVERED FOR 7 DAYS. THEN THEY WERE REMOVED AND I WAS TOLD TO WIPE ROUND THE BOOBS WITH BABY WIPES. I WAS ABLE TO HAVE A SHOWER AND LET THE WATER RUN OVER THEM BUT DO NOT USE SOAP OR SHOWER GEL ON THEM. YOU THEN HAVE TO PAT THEM DRY AND USE A HAIRDRIER ON A COOL SETTING TO DRY THEM COMPLETLY. HOPE THIS HELPS. SHERRIE XX

Thanks for your help.
Do you know what to clean the actual wound with? I have been told by friends who know someone who had a boob job (not the most reliable source!) everything from TCP to salt water to iodine.
I'm very confused and don't want to put anything on that may give me an infection.
Thanks again xxx

I WAS TOLD NOT TO PUT ANYTHING ON THEM. MY SCARS HAVE SCABBED OVER NICELY AND THEY WERE CLOSED WHEN I HAD THE DRESSINGS OFF AFTER 6 DAYS. SHERRIE XX
