I just soaked my steristrips with the shower head and then applied a little bibbiscrub on my hands and gently massaged with hands. DO NOT try and pull them off, it will take a little while.

i have now reached my 5 days so can finally shower, just on my patient after care sheet it tells me to remove the steristrips first,
can i wet them to make it easier? and are they supposed to pull away the tiny scabs that have formed?
please help doing it now! x

thanks everyone,
i did it this afternoon and it was fine, had to wet them a couple of times in the shower to get the tough sticky bits off, and thers is still one big scab left on where it is still healing.
one thing i noticed though was that i couldn't see any stitches whatsoever!! could it be that they have fully dissovled already after 5 days? or that dr tondu has used glue on me instead?
any thoughts welcome xx

I thought that too about the stitches but when you put your arm above your head you will see them

hey tinklee,
I wet mine a little bit and was fine. Be careful when you are pulling them off, not to pull at your stitches so do it very slowly. If your scabs do not come off naturally, then do not pick at them or pull anything off by hand or you could make your scars worse. Dr Tondu who I had at Elyzea was very specific with me on that. Made me cringe when taking them off but you cant feel anything!lol

i havent had my ba yet :p but do remember other girls saying they took them off in the shower. Let the water soften them so they just about fall off and you will be fine and enjoy your shower
