don't forget mobile phone and charger, some magazines, snacks and drinks.

I wore a zip up hoodie top and jeans home as i didn't have any bloating until 2 days atfer my BA but i did also take a pair of baggy trousers just in case.

Take chocolate and fizzy sweet drinks.
I couldnt face eating anything after my op and woke up in the middle of the night STARVING so snacked away on mars bars and diet coke.

Go to Primark and get some cheap trackie bottoms, I did, £4! Oh, and matching zip up top!
I wore mine with my Uggs, WHICH I wore in bed at the hosp as I was FREEZING and my pretty pink slippers werent keeping my feet warm!
Good luck xxx
" primark here i come lol!"

"Clothes to take"

hey k8ty

you have made me laugh with the list, so i will ty to help also. i had lipo and ba all within a week i think your head gets wrecked with all the different advice as mine did too. the one thing about this site though is this advice and without it i would have been LOST thanks guys

i took hibiscub for the morning and washed , turned up with a velour track suit on bought in matalan full suit 16pounds and they have a choice of around 4 colours so buy 2 lol, no top under and a pair of flip flops on my feet. The hospital give you a gown to wear and once the op is done you just put the track suit on back over your new sports bra , no dressing gown, slippers , etc needed at all. Your v pillow will not be needed till you arrive home. i brought 2 velours with me and travelled home in one so comfy but again i had lipo as well

good luck linda

Posted by k8tysboobs 6 November  at  01:29

but thats prob why im a few pounds more than I should be!!!!!
I thought I would take the v pillow as I have 4-6 hours travel and dont want to be uncomfy!
I have to stay the night in belgium in a hotel but suppose I wont need the pjs for the hospital! (what if they give me one of those bum showing gowns and paper knickers, surely a dressing gown is in order!!)
I dont live anywhere near a matalan but have a primark lol, im sure they will have something similar xxx
thanks linda xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"Hibiscrub"
Posted by k8tysboobs 6 November  at  00:10

to wash with before op to kill bacteria on the skin then can be used once you can shower

Dettol antiseptic soap. You can get it at any chemist or boots. Brilliant stuff. Actually I used it instead of Hibiscrub and it lasts longer. The soap lasted me well over a month and I used it every time I had a wash. Don't know if you are aware but there are germs from your private parts that can cause infections. Not a nice thought but it's better safe than sorry and you have to be especially careful after you op regarding cleanliness.

I will get some of that too, I am soooo worried about infection. I think I will get some of the iodene spray form savlon too. I wonder if you can boil wash the bra's, surely if its a post op one you can??

"Stop worrying ..."

you will be fine. Look I have some sterile chemical free seawater left over (small tubes individually sealed) which I used to clean my wounds. If you want them then just pm me and I'll send them to you. That way if you're not having a bath or a shower you can just use the sterile water and have peace of mind that there is no bacterial going anywhere near those precious parcels

boots, supermarket pharmacies, that type of place.
I think pre and post op you use it, its red like a liquid soap x

"Pj's are now in fashion"
Posted by goldenbrown1 5 November  at  23:40

Apparently PJ's are now very fashionable to wear in public, do you have tiger print ones

I see you are getting well prepared. Have you thought about extra pain killers just incase you don't have enough or the pain get a bit bad on the journey home. Ones that also deal with swelling. Also reading matter as it gets boring sitting around. I wore a black zipped dress that completely undid/zipped from top to bottom so that was very easy to put back on. Some breath mints as you may have a reaction to the anesthetic and to be honest you always feel a bit fresher when your breath smells nice.

Also wanted to say what a sweet thing you said in one of your threads the other day and of course I don't mind you taking pics of me with you - what a huge compliment. When I was preparing for my ba I did exactly the same as you plus I took some pics and stated to the surgeon that I definitely did not want to turn out looking like that woman etc.

I wish you all the best with your ba and hope you come back with a couple of smashers.

"I could do it for charity...belgium to london in pj's!!!!!"
Posted by k8tysboobs 5 November  at  23:56

I have a codiene allergy (I literally hit the floor!) so prob a good idea to take some of my own in case that is all thats on offer!
The only black zipped dress I have shows my bum so I best not take that lol!!!! It would be worse than the pj's!!!
ah mints good idea, I will have general toiletries and make up but probably wont bother too much with makeup after the op til I get home!
I can see the headlines now 'scary woman with bad breath is arrested in belgium wearing pjs and a giant bra'!!!!
Thanks goldenbrown, glad you didnt take offence to it!!! Its just so important to let the surgeon know what you are looking for, and like you say, not looking for! I am 26 but am a mum of three so prefer the natural look where you have the option to push them up on a night out!
fanx all, I still have two weeks lol, I am so forgetful and unorganised but I want to be prepared and get it right!!!
I have sorted the day care for my three bears for a couple days after and hope I can manage after that!

just take your normal jeans or whatever trousers you wear & something easy to get on, possibly a zip up. I bought a zip up top from H&M especially for coming home in and using in the few days following my BA. I did have bloating , but not straight away if I remember rightly .... that happened maybe a day or two after I got home ..... good luck ... you seem to be very organised
