"Mybreast or the hospital group - any recommendations on surgeons?"
Posted by helenr1982 9 July  at  19:49

I had booked for my surgery on 30 July with Mr Withey at Mybreast as after researching him and having a consultation with him, he seems a dab hand at the business and I felt very reassured with him. I have now been informed that this date is not available and I have to arrange an alternative date but can only ideally have surgery between 24 - 30 July which limits my choice of surgeon. Has anyone got any further info (or recommendation) on Stephen Hamilton at Mybreast or Rob Ng? Or has anyone been with The Hospital Group which was my other choice and have any recommendations for surgeons there? My consultation initially was with Dr Islani, has anyone had surgery by him?
Would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks!

I had my BA last MOnday with Simon and he was fab could not have asked for a better surgeon and I am so happy with the results. I saw a collegue of his on Friday as Simon was still in theatre - can not remember his name but seemed lovely and fit!! LOl ;0)

Good luck xx

I had Stephen Hamilton and my new boobs are fab. His credentials are ace. Ring Mybreast and ask them who's free during that week. I think you can book consultations with both the surgeons before you make your choice.

Thanks for that! Didn't think of booking two consultations to compare!

I used MyBreast. I like the fact you only have contact with a surgeon and the whole thing is less pushy. At transform I got the distinct impression that all they were interested in was getting my money...even though that in itself doesn't necessarily mean you will get a bad service.

Anyway, the thing I like about MyBreast is that all the surgeons that you will be referred to via them will be on the BAAPS register. I certainly had the impression that the surgeon I had is very proud of his reputation.

Thanks for your feedback. What surgeon did you have if you don't mind me asking? I am currently reserching Roy Ng, Stephen Hamilton and Neil Bulstrode and all seem highly qualified! I don't know whether to put back my planned date which will interfere with my Summer plans to stay with Simon Withey, but if another surgeon is highly recommended to me, then I would opt to change surgeons to have a more convenient surgery date?

So far I'm really impressed. If I've had any issues, I've left a message and the PS has called me back. A great package, so far.

Hi Girls,

Did any of you actually go with Neil Bulstrode in the end?

I've had my consultation with him and really liked him. Just wanted some feedback about him and his surgery etc?

Thanks,
Natalie x
