Hi,

After months of dilly dallying I have booked my consultation at The Nuffield in Hull... I would love a reccomendation on which surgeon to use... Can anyone help?

Also... i AM PETRIFIED of the procedure.. I think I have come to terms with the idea of post op pain pain... but my biggest fear is the day of the surgery and pre op - like having the anaesthetic....the idea of being put to sleep is just freaking me out!!!

...has anyone out there been given something to calm their nerves prior to the op..? I had a few teeth out and was given an injection in the hand quite a few years ago - but I panicked as they inserted the needle and I kicked out at everyone around me ... in the end I was pinned down and given gas.. I dont want that to happen again!!

I was given valium before my op last week, the hospital were going to give me it an hour before op but then they booked me in first thing so I just phoned my doctor and asked him to prescribe it to me. I had to tell the anesthetist i had taken it, it definately calmed me down! i also used emla cream to numb my arm before the injection as i'm also terrified of needles x

Valium works really quickly and takes away the butterflys, it works really well it kinda puts u into automatic mode. I've had beta blockers before too and they work better long term i think, i wasnt allowed to take these a month before op as they slow ur heart rate down.
"Yup emla cream!"

Ask for this as soon as you are admitted as it takes 20/30 mins to work. I felt discomfort when they gave anaesthetic but only got as far as asking how long will this la....zzzz til i was gone so it is no longer than 20/30 secs! The worry of waiting is the worst. Try rescue remedy it tastes kinda funny but it works and kalms tablets! Good luck and think of the results. I had virtually no pain with unders!

I think they put something in the drip to stop you feeling sick afterwards, when I woke i still felt a little dizzy/sick and they just gave me another drip to help and also a tablet which dissolves under the tongue. They gave me some tablets away with me too. I only felt slightly like this tho i didnt feel like i was going to actually be sick. Don't worry i think it'll be the last thing on your mind when u wake up with new boobies!!

When will my boobies drop/soften??!Whats all this about profile??Oh no, boob greedMessage for michellecad!!!!!Rhinoplasties look here380/420 overs high profile..."with unders how do u no when they are done and have come out as much as they can?"Can i be cheeky and ask to see everyone who has had ba to show pictures?
