"Go for it!" Posted by louise29aug 10 September at 23:43
Hiya, I had my ba on 29th aug at transform manchester with Mr Traynor (what a guy!!).. I have been like you for ten years now but my low self confidence finally gave me the courage. Im 31 married with 2 childern 14,4, Its not an easy decision and people can always be put off by what can go wrong i was exactly the same, my so called friends used to tell me not to do it then I found out one of them had a consultation, follow what you really want and how much you really want it. im 12 days post op now and back at work and driving. everbody is different though. If you sat and read all the side effects to tablets, you would never take them but this is your body and your decision. When I found this site it was fantastic, everbody is so helpful and re-assuring i hope this helps for you. Lou xx

I'm not going to read this either - if you looked into every danger you wouldn't leave the house! I agree that Americans are a bit over the top, got American relatives and everything's a big drama for them!
I'm hoping to have a re-op too. I'm not happy with my size and want to go bigger. Are you having an op for the same reason?
Hope everything goes well for you Wedsnesday

"Got bored half way down" Posted by alexander04 8 September at 23:41
My god, yes some of the things they say are true about the complications, but it sounds to me like this is a bloke, who is american and clearly against any form of surgery and no disrespect to the americans but they are known to be a bit dramatic.
Personally i would take this with a pinch of salt and do some proper research on Breast Augmentation.

"Yes frightening - but just one mans "opinion"" Posted by squiffle 9 September at 17:26
Im 17 days post op... lemme just say - that link is just full of one persons very rigid one sided "opinon" and not very clinically or statistaclly "correct"..
for example..
he says many times "An awful lot of"... women who have BA's have" X Y or Z... How many is "an awful lot" - very specific.. lol.. - he is plucking as much negativity from anything he has heard and multiplying it by 1000...
How old is that page.. what implants were being used when he refers to the re op figures..
I did my research and accepted the risks with the statistics I found in publications from the NHS and in the hospital literature..
...my biggest fear - According to my Nuffield info leaflet... 1 in 30 people experience capsular contracture... I dont think they are great odds - but Iv gone in with my eyes wide open..

i hope i didnt make others that r doing the procedure to freak out i was just saying help me cuz i was having second thoughts. I'm sure my frnd who sent this to me had every good intentions but still i have to know she is always like that & if she could she would have a BA in a second!!! I have decided just like ANY other thing in this world, being a simple procedure, religion, geez how u raise ur kids EVERYONE is gonna have an opinion & most are negative. yes, im afraid but still i wanna do it, i have an appointment for my smart lipo in 3 more weeks (the drs office is so busy) just for a consultation & i have decided 100% im going for it...BA i'm still waiting for my dr to give me a green light cuz i had a baby 4 months ago. btw/ did u see one pic i think the last one, its so obvious its an upside down pic! anyway that guy who wrote that article is a prick.
