| Thread started by: | "What do i need to take - ba 17th september - hosp group - bromsgrove" Posted by karenxh 10 September at 20:51
Hi Girls
What do I need to take with me?
I have bought some stretch cami's from Next and some short support T shirts, and a new soft dressing gown.
I am being picked up and taken there, what sort of transport is it?
Should I take juice with me or any other kind of food or stuff, what about magazines.

All you'll need is a dressing gown, a nightie, some knickers and some magazines - they provide you will all the food and drinks you could want, plus there'll be a tv in your room. You'll also need something easy to put on to come home in. Something with a zip or buttons to do up instead of having to put it over your head.
Can't comment on the transport as i made my own way there.
If you don't mind me asking, who's your surgeon and what size you going from/to.
I had my BA 20 days ago at bromsgrove, with Mr Payne i had 325 uhp unders,

Thank you for your reply Michelle. Really appreciate it.
I am having 325 unders as well.
Marcos Sforza is my surgeon.
I think one of the implants is going to be smaller as one of my breasts (believe it or not at a 34A) is bigger than the other one. So I think I will become a 34C, unless they decide to fluff out and become bigger (as I have been reading on here) I hope not, as I am 5.5 and 9 stone, I do not want to look top heavy.
If you don't mind me asking, what size were you and what have you gone too.
How are you feeling?

Hi there I've recently had 2 consults with Marcos Sforza who seemed really nice - his asst was a real hard sell though which put me off. He suggested 375cc above the muscle which I thought was huge. I get the impression they're just into big boobs and am totally confused as I've now been to Transform and Harley Medical Group. Am going to try MyBreast as their surgeons all belong to BAAPS but was wondering how you are now post op.

Hiya! I had BA unders and an uplift with Marcos Sforza in feb this year. Your right that hes really nice, when you actually go for your surgery he appears to be the happiest man ever. When he visits you the next day he makes you feel 100% safe and sure that you've done the right thing. I wanted to be a full C small D( did have sock style boobs with tissue at the ends, 36b). marcos gave me 280cc and ive got exactly what i wanted. They look really good and ppl often compliment on how fab they are. After surgery i wished i had gone bigger for a short while but now really happy with the decision Marcos made. Id def have future surgery with him!!

Hi, I'm going in for my op on Tues 2nd Oct, my surgeon is Marcos. I've been really excited for a month but now its getting closer i'm getting a little nervous. I went for my consultation wanting to go to a 34DD but Marcos advised me to go for a D. Which i was quite pleased about because it shows he wants to get the best results for me. Can I ask what your scars are like and did he go under or over the muscle, was there much pain afterwards???? Any other info or advice you can give me for the big day would be much appreciated.

Hiya,
I've been away and have just logged in. See that you had your BA on Tues 2..How did it go? have you managed to see them yet maybe not as it's under a weeks. I've booked in for 12 Nov with Marcos but still unsure about size. I'm quite bottom heavy 12/14 and a size 10 on top but still think 375cc on top looks huge in the pic I took. What size were your cc's and what were you before. Hope everything went well. Let me know. Am having one last consult with MyBreast on Tues as this could go on forever.

I bought a button up nightee which was great, I made a big mistake as I brought my slippers (they are the thong type / flip flops) and I looked a right idiot wearing these with my support socks!
I had their transport service, I was in a standard car with another girl and it was great as we chatted all the way up. The driver was great and he told us not to worry etc as he sees all the girls and it was funny as he knew all about unders and overs etc he even provides you with a nice comfy pillow for your journey home.
Shani's right all you need are some mags, face wipes and fully charged phone the hospital takes care of everything else.
I took some polo mints and gum as I did feel a little nautious after the general and helped with the journey home. The food is great at Bromsgrove, try not to stuff your face with a 3 course meal afterwards tho - stick to something light.
I also wore a wrap top for the journey home as it was easier to dress, even if you have a zip up / button front top would be great as I couldn't lift my arms over my head for a few days. Wash your hair the night before and treat yourself to a blow dry a few days after the op, you should be able to wash your hair (leaning over the bath) about a week after the op or get a friend to do it as you can't get your stitches wet for 2 weeks.
Please go away jaybrom you're not being helpful at all.
All the best

PS remember to take out any piercings! x

Hi Sarah
Thanks for the information, you have all been so supportive, as you know we the pre op's are all a bit nervous, and to be able to talk to those of you that have been through it really helps.
I could not stop dreaming about it last night, but that's nerves which we all go through, I am excited though, I cannot believe that I am going to have some boobies for the first time in my life (disregarding when i was pregnant).
I did not think about zip up tops and button nighties, I had bought vests that go over my head, I won't take them then, as it appears I wont be wearing anything for a while.
Thanks again Sara, I will keep you all posted.

Hey, I had transport with THG at bromsgrove. The car that picked me up was swanky Audi with leather interior! I was well impressed wen it pulled up on my drive!! I went down with another lady going but was on my own on the way back. Think it was a VW coming home, had leather interior and heated seats (i asked the driver whether id either wet myself or they were heated, which made him laugh!). Both the drivers were lovely though, really friendly. They dont get paid enough though i must say!!! Good luck with the op
