Hi

I am desperate to hear from anyone who has had their Breast surgery with Dr Charles Nduka...

He works in the Brighton Area and I have been referred to him through MyBreast.org

The consultations I have had with him were just OK - He wasn't rude at all, but the consultations do seem awkward - he doesn't really say or do much in the consultations. I don't feel like he spent enough time during the consultation and also he seems very conservative with his approach to sizing the implants. I really feel like the boobs he's going to give me will be too small... and I don't want booby greed...

I'm a size 10, 5' 5 and have 32A breasts. I am hoping to go to a full 32D. I tried the rice test, and felt that 350 would be OK. But I read on this forum that you should add about 25cc to the rice test value. Hence, I'm guessing I need 375cc to give me a full D cup. He however is considering 275 - 350cc and really seems to be heading towards 300cc implants as a maximum, which will give me a normal C cup. He also said he would decide 'on the day' of the op what size implant he will actually use. I really didn't like this approach at all - is that normal practice?. I want to know what will be used beforehand as it's my body and alot of money. He keeps saying he will only give me a natural look that isn't disproportionate with my body. I am after a natural look and nothing outrageous, however, I would be happy with a D cup.

Part of me thinks he is the expert, and so maybe I should relax a little and let him have the final say, but I haven't been able to find 'any' reviews online about him or his work. I have looked everywhere...

Academically he is extremely strong, but I know that isn't enough when it comes to boob jobs. I really need to hear from other people who've had him before and ideally see some before/after pics and success stories...

Anyone had him before??? Please respond as I am thinking of changing surgeons just because no-one else online has posted anything about him...

Hi, I did a google search on Charles Nduka and saw your query above.

I am a man considering breast reduction and Charles Nduka was the consultant I was referred to. If you had surgery carried out by him, can you tell me how it went / your thoughts please?

Many thanks

Chris
"Dr charles nduka has my vote- what a fantastic surgeon"

I have recently had BA with Mr Charles NDUKA and all I can say is that I am overwhelmed with the whole procedure from start to finish, with the end product and my new breasts.

I initially went through Mybreast but dealt mainly with Mr Ndukas secretary Elaine who is excellent, very knowledgeable as well as efficient.

My consultations with Mr Nduka were not at all awkward in anyway shape or form, infact I felt he was very approachable and comical at times and answered any questions I had. The consultations lasted as long as I wanted them to until I ran dry of questions to ask. May be you was making the consultation awkward because you didnt like what you was hearing, or objected to his professional advice, you really do need to be open minded.

I discussed exactly what I wanted from the surgery and explained how big I wanted to be, I even showed him photos and magazine clippings.

I dont think Mr Nduka was conservative with sizing I think he was realistic and not making empty promises hence why you were given a range- Your right it is your body and it is a lot of money but its really is not hard to understand that until a surgeon opens you up they are not able to definitively say what size they can place in you, would you rather agree to an implant that once inserted leaves you with a big bust but a heap load of stretch marks or other problems- I dont think so, and what surgeon would want to put their name to that.

Mr Nduka explained that he wanted to make my body in proportion. I felt this was a professional approach taking into consideration my height and weight, and that he was looking out for my best interests as a patient.

I think that people who go to have BA are small in the first place hence wanting BA, and loose perspective of what they really want and are not aware of the what the end product will look like. Mr Nduka is the professional and performs these operations weekly so surely any advice he has to offer is vital and you should take it on board.

I personally know I wanted big boobs and that is exactly what I got, BUT they are in proportion with my body and look amazing.

There are surgeons out there who will do exactly what the patient wants but maybe that is because they are desperate for the business and dont care about their reputation.

Im glad that Mr Nduka was able to guide me in the right direction and give me the best possible advice.

I went to other consultations where they gave little advice, couldnt wait to take my money for a deposit there and then and book me in!! at no time with Mr Nduka did I feel pressurized to book anything.

I know this thread was started ages ago but thought my response maybe of help to anyone else considering BA.

I would HIGHLY recommend Mr Nduka to any one wishing to have BA as I have had a fantastic experience and the results really are phenomenal.

Gemma,

If you are unhappy change surgeon - but too be honest he is right with the sizing though. I went with Simon Withey also mybreast and when I walked in I wanted to be a C from 32A and he said 265cc implants, I was going for mod pro the next sizer up was 325cc and after a few days decided I wanted to be a D, now I am a DD 10 weeks post op and bursting out!! lol
How about you make another appoitment to see him again, iron out the issues you have if yoru still not happy ask to see another surgeon.
Good luck

I am also booked in for Simon withey at the St Johns and Elizabeth's later in Sept for a chat... slightly worried..i am a 29 yr old mum of 2 girls, breast fed both of them and lost all volume and skin is very loose but also due to weight loss! (not fair for my age but don't regret giving my daughters the very best milk) I dont want to be too noticeable after surgery and would prefer not to tell my family.. they will question me too much.. cost, why... why... why...!?

I want to know is it possible to recover quickly (under baggy jumpers) and be able to carry on caring for 2 children under 5 yrs? How bad is the pain?
i.e lifting them etc...? is it realistic at this stage in their lives? Also what is Simon Withey like? I am totally comfortable with what i have already read about MYBREAST and haven't really looked else where..does it really take searching and searching or should i trust what i read about MYBREAST? i heard that S.Withey is very very good and does makeover shows on TV... any comments?

thanks girls...Jodie x
"Ba on wednesday at woodingdean nuffield"
Posted by buttonboobies 10 September  at  23:20

Hi Gemma

I am due to have my BA with Mr Nduka on Wednesday 12th September.

I have been researching having my Ba for 18 months now. I had consulations with 5 other surgeons and wasn't happy with any of them. This included Dr Yelland, if you are from Brighton he is probably the most well known. I found him very blase and very rude! I even booked with Transform and cancelled because i was having doubts about my surgeon when i discovered he was a specialist gastro surgeon.

None of the surgeons I had any consulations with made me feel any where near as comfortable as Mr Nduka did. We have actually had a bit of a laugh and a joke on the 3 occasiosn i have meet him. His secretary Elaine is top notch as well - nothing is too much trouble and we chat almost every day with all the silly little questions i have.

Two of my friends have had BA's with Mr Nduka and they both look fabulous! Everybody i have mentioned him to have said he is an absolute perfectionist! I also posted a post on here to ask about him but got nothign back, although that may be because of the geography in which he works.

I have given him my exact requirements but he is deciding on the day which implants to give me. Elaine told me he has ordered a sizer and 4 different sizes of implants as he does not know until the pocket is opened exactly what will give me what i want. I personally think this is a good thing. I dont; want booby greed but neither do i want stretched skin with rippling and evidence of the implant.

His qualifications are excellent. All of the surgeons at MyBreast are FRCS and BAAPS qualified. If he wasn't a good suregon he wouldn't have been invited to do these qualifications.

I know it is hard hun but like you said he is the expert.

When were you thinking of having your BA done?

"Thanks for the reply - good luck with your op(!)"

Hi Button!

Nice to hear from someone else who has some experience with him(!). It's reassuring to hear that you think highly of him. I'm really wishing you the best of luck for Wednesday!! I'm guessing you must be really excited right now(!)

Do you think you and your friends could post or perhaps PM me some before/after pics - Would really appreciate it if you did. Also what size are you and what size implants are you considering? Anything similar to mine? Are you having any problems getting the size you want with him?

I've had 2 consultations with him so far and am thinking of getting the op done in December - although, at the moment, there is a long waiting list... I didn't realise there would be such a long wait for a private op? How long have you had to wait?

How come you had 3 consultations pre-op with him? Does he normally do 3 or were you not sure about things?

Would really love to hear from you(!)

I do think very highly of him, he has always made me feel very comfortable and instilled a lot of faith in me that he knows what he is doing.

I am 5ft2" about 8st 5lbs, size 8 on top and currently a 34a/b depedning on shops and time of the month! Lol! I want to be a 34D, i don't want them to look fake but do like the round appearance of round implants. I want to have fuller breasts at the top but do not want them to look absolutely enormous. Not fussy at all then

Mr Nduka has written me a letter after everytime i have seen him explaining what we have talked about and what i am expecting - each time he has my requirements spot on! Even if i have confused myself he explains it! 3 times is not usual but i am a wrrier and had lots of questions!

I know you know exactly what you want hun but sometimes we don't always want what is best for us! Hee hee! I know you want to be a D and with 350cc i am convinced you will be. But if you have implants that are too big for you you will end up with stretch marks and rippling. I think the reason Mr Nduka waits until the day is so he can best give you what you want. Think of it like this:

He is estimating that 300cc will be the best size for you, but he knows you may be disappointed with this. So if he waits until the day he may find there is more room than he estimated there to be and give you the 350cc or 375cc. In which case yay big boobies for you!

All PS have got their reputation to think about so they will obviously want to keep there patients happy. They will also not want to give girls such enormous boobs that they experience other complications.

The long waiting list for Mr Nduka is surely a sign of how popular he is. I have waited 3months for mine and it's only this early as someone cancelled for medical reasons. It was meant to be on 10th October!

I will ask my friend for her photos and PM them to you. I will let you know how i get on and send you progress pictures. PM me if you want to ask any questions that are a bit more personal and i will try to answer them! Gonna have a whole lotta time on my hands after tomorrow!
