just wanted to pass on my oppinion of bromsgrove, i had my op 10th april, arrived at 7am didnt have my op till 6pm in the evening, was only offered toast and tea all day, had water taken from me at 2pm, didnt see many nurses u r left quite alone in ure room, they only pop in now and agian to do checks ect, its a lovely hospital with a nice room, plazma tv own shower and toilet ect, u do feel a bit lonley and if u have to wait a long time which everyone did who travelled there on the transport to the hospital, u do start to worry more, i was shipped out at 6 in the morning with some toast and told to get dressed my lift was waiting, it is a bit like a cattle market one in one out, they have a business to run at the end of the day but i dont think adequate time was give after the op to recover, i was home then by 9am, the nurses were nice and polite, but u need to ask if u want anything or any help with getting dressed ect. my surgeon was lovley and i must say he done a good job, so overall was happy with my ba but unhappy with the waiting time thats all, its nerve wracking experience and the waiting dont help. good luck ul be fine.

I had my BA at with THG this weekend. First impressions werent great as the changed the day of my surgery last minute so my flights had to be changed. The nurses and surgeon (Mr Paganelli) were fantastic. THG are disorganised when it comes to giving u travel details and bookin the surgery but it was worth it.

Hi, I was exactly like you, I'd booked then found this site and though I'd made the worst mistake of my life!! Just remember though people are so quick to complain but when you have had good service etc people never take time out to comment on it, eg. if you were treated really rudely by a member of staff in a shop the next step is getting their name and complaining to the manager and then we tell our friends about it. But when we've had someone who has been exceptionally helpful and lovely towards us who do you know has gone to the manager and mentioned the good customer service they've received?? So honestly don't worry. The hospital in Bromsgrove is like a country hotel, immaculately clean too. My boyf had to drive two hours to Bromsgrove and he dropped me off and off I went. I'm glad it was like that way otherwise I would have been really upset, I think it toughened me up going in by myself. The nurses are lovely and I even had a visit from the head house keeper asking if I wanted anything doing!! You will be treated very well and the nurses are friendly and settle any nerves you have. If you let the nurses know you need extra help I'm sure they will oblige we can't expect them to be able to read minds aswell! I was first in that day but because of the snow the anaesthetic consultant got held up( it was that day when we had all the snow and Britain came to a stand still! 8Feb) I was there at 7 and went in at 1.30 in the afternoon, but you have your own room with en suite, flat screen telly and my own mags and books. Plus you have everyone doing there checks etc. I've heard lots of good things about Dr Renato. I had Mr Araco and he personally phoned me 2 weeks after the op like he does with all his patients. You will receive your info pack the week before and it just explains not to eat the night before, map and other hospital rules. It also includes the visiting hours. There are plenty of reasonable B&Bs nearby too, we looked into this option and most were £30 a night. Hopes this helps!

I really want my husband to wait with me and be there for me when i wake up. Do you know if partners are allowed to wait with you.
Also do you have your own room or are you in a ward ?

Hi Lianne My husband stayed with me the whole time i was there. I had my own room as you will and the nurses said it was fine e could stay. He went back to hotel a couple of times but was allowed to stay, He even went to my room and waited while i had my op, so he was there when i came from recovery. I got did think that he would not be able to stay but mine did all day. I went in at 7.00am had my op at 5.00pm and my husband went from hospital at 10.00pm. Another girls boyfriend did the same. hi chick, i had my BA done last year with THG,and they were great of course your gonna get good and bad feed back but thats life can't make everyone happy, but overall i had a great experience. And as for the nurses they can't do enough for u honest i've been in and out a couple of times and they were fab totally put u at ease. you get there early but the day will fly by different people will be coming in and out all the time before your opp. And after youll just want to rest youll be in and out of sleep for the rest of the day, then more than likely want to stuff your face at about two in the morning cause you've not eaten anything since tea time the night before. Honest don't worry about a thing ,and as for packing where do you think your off lol on a two wks holiday youll only have a couple of things pack and the nurses will help but youll be able to manage, and they carry your bag for u the next day to the waiting room. As for the visitors each person is different but your only in for a day and one night so you don't really need anyone there, i letf mine at home it was a nice rest really lol all the best x xsarah

Had my ba on the 20th feb with THG bromsgrove. They called me the night before to say I had to be there for 10am. When i got there they told me my op was at 230 and i did go to theatre at 230. Had to starve from 10pm the night before. Ive seen the nurse every week and the surgeon twioce at my local clinic since my BA because ive had a rare allergic reaction to the stitches. Every appointment has been kept. Aftercare is great! If you click search, on the top right hand side of this panel and type Dr Renato you'll find all threads with info. As i go to the clinic loads ive spoken to loads of patients. All have different experiences with the nursing staff, guess its luck with whos on shift. I had an awful experience with the staff the following morning. They tell all patients in the ,morning to get up and get packed ready for yuor lift. The nurses will help you but you do need to ask them. Visiting is 6-9pm! Good luck... you'll be fine! Lisa x

Hi Danielle,
After lots of consulations with a few cosmetic companies i decided to go with The Hospital Group! I found them to be the nicest people and they were very thorough with me, the sugeron and consultant both talked in dept what would happen before surgery, the procedure and aftercare, i thought they were brilliant, thats why i have booked my operation for next month. I will be getting picked up by one of their cars in the morning, and driven to their Bromsgrove Hospital where the operation will take place, i will be staying over night (with 24hour room service)then driven home the following afternoon, once i have been checked! Im sure you have nothing to worry about! My friends have spoken very highly about The Hospital Group and their new breasts look fab, to be honest they look so natural i never knew one of my friends had hers done, until she recently revealed the truth!
Why dont you write down a list of questions and telephone your consultant or surgeon, im sure their be happy to answer all your questions, to put you at ease!
Im sure your be trilled with the results! Good luck

Hi there,
I'm booked in to have my BA in May, its with Transform though. Its natural to be feelin nervous, dont worry bout that! Just think of the brilliant new boobies at the end of it all! I have to 'check in' at 8am on the day of my op, but it just depends on their schedule when they take you down to theatre, it could be within the hour, or at 7pm that night, its not really somethin they can tell you beforehand. It doesn't mean they're bad with their timing, its just the way they plan their schedules. U just have to take lots of mags and try and relax! I have my pre-op check tomorrow afternoon, I've made a list of all the questions I have thought of since my consult, hopin it all goes ok and I'll be back on here in May when I have my new boobs!
