"Associated infection(s) with dental treatment and breast augmentation???"
Posted by purplealy 10 October  at  21:27

Hey girls!

I'm probably just being paranoid and I have no need to worry at the mo(haven't had BA yet) but since reading a few posts on here and another site forum, I'd be grateful for any info any of you may have on the above.

I'm absolutely pertrified of the dentist.

Would it be best to have any dental treatment/ check up before BA?

What kind of infections are linked to breast augmentation following dental treatment?

I haven't found that much online as yet. Any info or links to websites would be much appreciated.

Some say there is a link between dental work and cc(capsular contracture) but dont think there is any direct evidence for this. My ps never mentioned it anyhow. I think its like other things , ie some surgeons will agree, some disagree, breastimplants4u.com and justbreastimplants.com are both good sites with loads of info on but think they are american. I did post this reply on lyb but i lost it before i posted lol x

I asked the same question on a thread you'd commented on on LYB, not sure if you saw it?

I will check those sites out.

Thanks x

I dont think there is any link between the 2! i have had dentist treatment and BA with no problems or infection!

Yeah, I read it somewhere a while back, but didn't think anything of it.... until now.

I'm hoping to have my BA in the New Year, but have't been to my dentist in ages. Mainly because of my fear of The Dentist, which will probably increase "if" there is any possibly linked risk.

I found a little info if anyone is interested.

Thanks for your response Shell. I'm probably just being paranoid and a bit of a Drama Queen!

I to am so scared of the dentist and have to go tomorrow for some treatment, i am 2 months post op.
I asked the girls on here about having stuff done after BA and a lot had already been to have treatment after their BA, and they were fine.
I also phoned transform about it and they couldn't see it being a problem
so i have to bite the bullet and go as i have real bad tooth ach...ouch.
gosh i am so scared, but it needs doing...
