Mrs KAt - Solihull - she does lots of NHS work and private work and is very good in her consultation - She sorts out THG muck ups from down the road! please do not go to a cosmetic surgery company that hire surgeons that only have to be GMC registered - BAAPS registered requires six more years of surgical training.

Good Luck!

ok, both my parents are in medical ( my step dads a surgion and mums had decades of experience in theatres!) therefore as i am too consdiering rhinoplasty i have many contacts for the best surgions.
first i must stress that the best are those at private hospitals. these surgions who offer rhinoplasty in private hospitals are ear nose and throat specialists and thats all they do all day everyday wehter its rhinoplasty for medical or cosmetic reasons they are simply experts i ntheir field and being able to offer the cosmetics side is a plus to their years of expert experience. however, cosmetic surgions at places like the harley are just that. they also do boobs, lipo- the works. they are also normally aiming to make money, wheras those at private hospitals such as the nuffield, spire, BA are firstly concerned with the medical and ths is not a concern for them. because of all this i would abslutly reccomend you go with this. in osme cases it can actually be cheaper and you may be at less risk of infection or things going wrong.
its your nose- you MUST do the best as it has to be able to work after! you may put your life at risk if you only consider how good the surgion is at the results cosmetically and not at the foundations which is the anatomy of your ear nose and throat. they are normally more realistic with you too due to their experience!

ok... i live in the midlands and i know of the best surgion i nthe region (who i will DEFINATLY be having!)
his names Paul Glossop and he actually trains surgions (cosmetics) in rhinoplasty. ive seen his work and hes good. he work for the Nuffield, wolverhampton.

if you want anymore names i can let you know as i know tonnes of people i nand around the industry with some excellent reccomendations!

Hi laura, its great to know that you recommend paul Glossop for rhinoplasty surgery,I was hoping that I would not have to travel that far and was just wondering if you have inside information of any Surgeons specialising in this field who operate in the North-east region.

Many thanks

Hey Laura,
Thank you for the advice.
I'm planning a rhinoplasty at the moment, but I live in Scotland. Lol. I'm thinking of the Murrayfield Spire hosptial in Edinburgh. Do you know much about there?

It seems to be the best place in Scotland by the reviews and a girl I went to school with chose a Dr. Quaba and he did an amazing job; he put her at ease and post-op there was very little brusing..

I know you're English but if you have any advice on Scottish surgeons I'd be very glad to hear from you.

Thanks for your time,
Rachael.

Hi Laura,

I read your post and would like to ask if you can recommend a rhinoplasty surgeon in the Leicestershire area, currently looking at the Nuffield Leicester ?
Due to travelling I am looking to have it carried out local if possible as long as I can find a good surgeon!!

Thanks
Danni
"Mark henley nuffield derby- any good? help!"
Posted by scarlettb22 5 March  at  23:36

Hi laura,
I just came across your msg as i was researching the man i might be having breast augmentation with - DR MARK HENLEY at nuffield Derby - had a consultation last week and he was very thorough in his information and sent me home with a bag full of gel bra inserts (whuch i found bizarre!) to help me decide what size im really after, so kind of makes sense! Found some good stuff on google about his work but nothing on this website - do you know of him or recommend him? i live in derby and am willing to travel within the east midlands only as im a single mum!
Any advice would be great!

you should go for th individual surgio nand not the company, places like the harley just want the bussiness and therefore will somethimes just give you anyone. my mum works for the national healthcare comission and is constantly having trouble with places like the harley (there are more but cannot list them all but im sure you know the type!) do your own research for the surgion him/her self and then find out where he practices and go there. do not have it done for the company and would reccomend not going near the NHS ( the hospital not their surgions and most of them do NHS and private work- smae surgion, different hospital)

Hi All

Sorry for the scar story but my life has been ruined by MARCOS SFORZA - i had rhinoplasty and he did not tell me about any risks (if you dont know what they are you dont know to ask about them) My nose had a lump inside, one side is now flat with a dent and one side is curved. It has been six months since my operation. I tried to see him when things went wrong but he was really rude and said i should have stayed at home. I have not been able to leave my house since this has happened. The tip of my nose looks bulbous, there is aysymmetry - I basically look like and animal and he does not care!
Please make sure you ask every possible question you can before going for this procedure-make sure you discuss the shape in depth and also discuss the risks - if something does go wrong please make sure you ask him what he will do to help before you agree to the procedure.

I urge you not to go to this man however if you do please ask all of the relevant wuestions and be prepared to research your aftercare yourself - you can not touch your nose for a month or you will change the shape and if you do not like the shape you have to wait a year (make dure to much tissue is not taken away in the first place).
Please guys - take my advice, i am stuck at home now, i have lost everything because it is not the same face i look at. It was supposed to be a positive change but i now live behind closed doors with post traumatic stress and severe depression.

I had a consultation with harley medical group a couple of weeks ago, they seem very professional and are not just trying to get money. I have to see my doctor first and ask him to send them a letter saying I'm fit to have a rhinoplasty, which I think is quite good.

Once the letter's on its way I'm going to book in to see the surgeon there. I was pretty sure I would use harley medical group years ago because of their good reputation and after the consultation I'm sure they're the right ones for me.

I can keep you updated if you would like to know what I think of the surgeon?

hi i had rhinoplasty 4 weeks ago with mr seno at the hospital group. Had very mixed feelings at first, one min i liked it the next i was in tears! Now i think it looks better but i am hoping the tip is still swollen as it is still quite big in comparison to the rest. I was noticeably bruised for over 3 weeks, so glad i had more than the reccommended 2 weeks off work. i only told a few people i was having it done. I've only seen 2 people since having it done who didnt know and as far as i know they didn't notice. private message me in a few weeks if yuo want and i'll let u know if the tip has gone down and what people's reactions have been. best of luck with ur research.
