"How much more painful is it to have implants under the muscle?"
Posted by charlie3310 10 November  at  18:53

hi there all,
my surgeon said i would be better to have the implants placed under the muscle as i am fairly slim and dont have a lot of breast tissue, but i have been told that this procedure has a more painful recovery! has anyone had or having it done this way & have you been told or was it more painful? i would rather have overs if this is the case but dont want it to look to obvious!
thanks for reading.

......5 weeks ago, the only pain i had was for 2 days after i got home (had BA on the saturday, home by sunday, Monday and Tuesday was a little painful) but then its fine, they obv feel a bit tight because of what uve had done but as the skin loosens its fine. Not as bad as the horror stories make out at all! i was only taking painkillers for 3 days!!

Good Luck

Hi Charl,
Yeah i had 295cc unders in August this year and i had it done on the wednesday and by the sunday i was at my boyfriends mums having dinner.
Im not gonna say u cant feel it because u can but i would do it all again tmw if i had too!. It wasnt as half as bad as i thought it was gonna be.
"I'm also having unders"

I'm same as you i'm booked in for the 22nd and having 325 unders i'm only slim and only a 34AA/A> My cousin had hers over must have had more tissue than me she told me it hurts more under.
I have read posts to say it does hurt more but I would rather the little extra discomfort and look good than them just look like they've been stuck on.
My main problem is I live on my own with a 2 yr old, I will have help for the first week but the second week I will struggle as it takes 2 weeks to get over the main healing process.
I would go with what the surgeon advised truthfully.
Have you booked in ? Keep us informed on what you choose.

hi lisa,
i to am on my own with a 3yr old and an 11month old! i too have help for the first week & sort of on off help the second. the recovery period is meant to be slightly longer with unders, i may suggest partial unders to my surgeon & see what she says. i want them to look natural & worth the money but i am worried about being in pain longer!
are you booked 22nd nov or dec? let me know how you get on wont you.
good luck & keep us posted.

the risks are alot less, plus if you haven't got enough breast tissue any half decent surgeon would give u overs and make you look like Victoria Becham(unless u wanted that total stuck on look).

Go for the unders hun, it s a big decision and a lot of money, trust what ur surgeon advises, they know what they're talking about.

p.s i had virtually no breast tissue and i was very muscular, in fact i looked like a bloke,

If u wanna see my pics pm me for my password and id

Michelle, I'm new on here and having mine done on the 22nd Nov, what size did u have and what size were u to start?
Can I see your pics if u don't mind.
I'm having 325 unders, I'm a 34AA / 34A depending on bra type, I'm only slim size 8.
I asked to got to a size C so he gave me the choice out of 325 0r 355.
If you have anymore info or advise I would be greatful to hear from u.

hey i had unders and I can honestly say i didnt really have any pain at all, its true what everyone says its mostly discomfort because its difficult to sit up etc and you can't reach up to put on a top but it didnt last long and certainly wouldnt put me off doing it again. I think people find it a little more uncomfortable with less breast tissue as the skin is stretched more. x

I had my BA on thur, i had 260cc unders, i had very little breast tissue also so thts why i had to hav unders. although unders r more painful thn overs thrs less risk of CC and ripplin esp if u hav little breast tissue to start wth.

Im in most pain in the morn and i thnk its dwn to the way iv bn lyin, i keep slidin dwn the bed and wake up in agony - so annoyin tryn to get a good sleep. other than tht i wouldnt say its mega painful, jst a bit of discomfort every now and then. ul b fine, go wth unders - defo defo!!

I had unders, 215/245cc.. i wasn't in pain when i didn't move, just uncomfortable. I clearly missed the part about sleeping upright because I can tell you.. with unders, you do NOT want to try lying down and getting up. That really is motherfucking painful and will make you want to cry! There were times I couldn't get out of bed for a while (i live on my own though). But if you actually sleep sitting up apparently it's fine!! I'm 3 1/2 weeks post op now and i'm mostly fine, can sleep on my side if i'm careful. It does take longer to heal with unders but I had no breast tissue before so if i'd had overs I think they would have looked awful. Good luck with your choice XX
"Mine are 270cc unders aswell"
Posted by funkybub 10 November  at  22:33

and I too thought I'd have more pain than I'm having. I'm stiff and a bit sore but I'm only 2 days post op and it really is a bearable pain. I got out of hospital yesterday and went shopping with my hubby lol. I am more comfortable when I am moving around, because if I sit down for too long I seize up and then it is a bit more sore to get going again. Who is your surgeon??

Hiya,

Just booked my date yesterday and I'm having 345cc partial unders as I also dont have much breast tissue either. I think the risk with having overs if you don't have much breast tissue is that if you do get any rippling or anything then its alot more obvious than if you had more breast tissue. I think it is a slightly more painful procedure but LOADS of girls on here have had it and most have said that its more of a discomfort than actual pain. The way I look at it is that I don't have anything to compare it to as I'll only ever being having the partial unders procedure so I wont ever know if its more or less painful than overs!! The other great thing about unders and partial unders is that it dramatically reduces the risk of capsular contracture which was a major plus for me. For that reason alone I'd never consider overs as I want to cut my risks as much as possible where I can.

Also, if I'm paying £4K I want them to look perfect and so I'm going to take the advice of my surgeon. At least I can blame him if it all goes wrong!!

WHere are you thinking of getting it done? What surgeon?

Hi
I just wondered how the appearance of your breasts varied from your sisters? Do hers look bigger or more 'fake' than yours? Sorry, just I got advised overs (well, between the muscle and the tissue) and I'm trying to weigh up the risks of cc etc against the final look.
Thanks
Nichole

I had them done on Monday and I can honestly say that this pain feels like if you over do in a gym for the first time. I am 6 days post op and still take pain killers but just 1 tablet instead of 2. I am still bit painfull on one side, but it is more just discomfort feeling. I was also told that unders are more painfull, but actually I expected more pain than I had. Good luck!

Back from ba..2 days post opHmmm am i strange??How much did you shrink after post op swelling?Skinny bodyPre- opQuestions!Do mybreast only do moderate profile implants?ElyzeaAnyone booked with transform for the 28th nov?Websites to get an idea of post op size....Op s been cancelled
