| Thread started by: | "Tingly sore boobs and sensitive nipples - 3 weeks post op - how long?" Posted by jojojo118 6 February at 13:43
Hi girls I am almost three weeks post op with 275cc overs and my boobs are hurting more than ever. The first couple of weeks were fine and my scars are also healing nicely but in the last week my boobs feel really tingly and sensitive, especially underneath the nipple and my nipples are also super sore - I dread going outside into the cold as it hurts so much!! I know this is probably normal and I think I read somewhere that it is likely to be the nerves etc knitting back together. Could anyone further down the line tell me when boobs will start to feel normal again. I am wearing a sports bra which I have been professionally measured for (at first I thought it was that my bra was too small) and its definitely the right size then of course I was worried about capsular contracture but the boobs themselves look and feel fine (not hard) so I presume it is just a stage to get through and the price to pay for having fab new boobs which I love!! Jo xxxx

It will all be worth it in the end!! X

i am 5 weeks post op today. i can say that i feel a little better every day for the last few days. mine was so bad that i posted on here that i thought i may be allergic to the actual implant!!! it was driving me MAD itchy, tingly, sore, rashy, hot, and just didnt feel right. i have found a cure for the nipples, Kamillisan cream for nappy rash & for breast feeding, its great, i put cotton wool pads over my nipples with the cream rubbed in & it feels great, much less sensitive. we will get there in the end!!!!

Hiya Im 2wks post op, and just this wk started to get the tingling feeling and sore nips. Im just a little worried tho, as I just read about CC, I never knew of this before my op, and was wondering if your able to detect yourself if you have it?? As my boobs still feel hard, I was thinking, its down to swelling still, could it be??

Hi Helen I too have read up on CC and think that the symptoms are feeling ill and having a temperature, hot spots in your boobs(?) and very hard boobs. It sounds like two to three weeks is the time most people start to feel the tingling and sensitivity so it seems like this is the time when most of us start to get some feeling back, and fortunately (or unfortunately!) it's quite natural. Hopefully things get back to normal gradually so we just have to wait!
