"Underwire bras after ba"
Posted by lulu03081 8 February  at  21:06

Hi, only one more week of my sports bra to go. Just wanted to check that its ok to start wearing underwire bras at 6 weeks post op, I'm sure I read somewhere that under wire bras can distort/mishape implants, any ideas cos I don't want to ruin my expensive new toys!! x

I've just had a ba with HMG. I know that every company has different rules, but HMG said that I couldn't wear underwires for 6 months. I'm going to take their advice. Maybe you should check with your clinic.

Hi, i got told to wear my sports bra for three months. A couple weeks before hand i went out in a wired bra, i only had it on literally an hour. I wore it to try on a few dresses in a shop. When i took my bra off to try on a rather low cut dress my boobs were out of shape like they had dents in them (i proper crapped myself). I did not think an hour would make any difference, the bra was from marks and spencer. I'm now 6months post op and the few bra's i bought form marks with high wire's between the cleavage still in dent my boobs after wearing them 10mins. I won't wear them again. Luckily after a few good massages they went back to normal. They fit well but must press into the implant or something to make them like this.
That was what happened to my boobies but may not happen to yours. Just pick your bra's carefully babe

Hi

I read your post re the wires mis- shaping your breasts. I was told by a bra fitter in Triumph that with implants you often need to go for a bigger cup to accomodate the breasts as they are wider than natural breasts. Have you tried going up a cup size or two and down and back size. I did this and its much more comfy. I thought I was a 34C but when I tried a 32D/32DD the boobs fitted in better. Just a thought.

I've had a nightmare with bra's trying on about 20 bra's a time and they don't fit right. In triumph i'm a 32e . wonderbra dd, Marks dd some e.
In lazensa the only bra thats okay is balcanette bra's 32e.
I have one boob bigger than the other right one is more an e , left dd so it's really difficult to find a bra so both are okay.
I'm living out of tshirt bra's at the mo, and i hate it untill i can find pretty ones to fit nicely but like i said it's a bloody nightmare!!! I hate going bra shopping, when once i remember i could not wait, but it's a mission now!! HaHa
