Got messed around by them, trying to change my op day and asking for blood tests only week before op so all bit of rush and panic about would it go ahead or not...but I kicked off and actually got it brought forward a day which suited me. Wasn't overly impressed with hospital in Bromsgrove, it is clean and staff are efficent just not too friendly, but I realise it is money making so you are one of many in and out. Came out of op at 1130pm and was kicked out at 7am being sick and in bit of mess..... BUT despite all this my surgeon Mr Schiavone was good and my boobs look FANTASTIC....I got finance through them was happy with deal and price of boobs and would go to them again. They owe me some money back as promised to pay for cost of hotel for sister due to inconvenience but think it may be battle getting this!! If you use them just be assertive and tell them what you want and when and don't stand for any crap!

Whole thread for the following message:

"The hospital group - whats your experiance?"

Hi,

I 21 and recently left uni, in which i ran up my debts and now as a result have bad credit. I am now in a well paid job and have paid off most of my debts, however this is only is the last 2 months and so my credit file is till quite poor, even though now im not.
Anyway now i want a ba, but getting finance or a loan with my credit rating is proving hard. I noticed the hospital group offer finance on a joint basis, and my mum has agreed she would be the joint applicant with me as she has excellent credit rating.
So I was just interested in peoples experiences with the hospital group, if they are a good company to go to and any surgeon recommendations or who i should stay away from!
also does anyone know if they use dr khan as he has been highly recommended to be.
Thanks for any feedback!

Hi Traceyg2

Just wanted to give you some feed back of my experience with THG.

I wanted to have Rino surgery, I went in for a consultation with Dr. Paganelli and I couldnt understand a word he said... he was not listening to any of my needs and wants but just rushing me out of the room back to the customer co-ordinator. This guys name was Mike and he is apparently the 'Manager' there. I told him of my concerns with the surgent they provided me with, but convinced me that he was good and would do a fantastic job.

Not thinking, being young and niave, I handed over £500.00 deposit for my surgery and booked a date. When booking the date, the surgent was free on almost every day I had in mind... I should have seen that as a bad sign.

After thinking and coming onto this web site I began seeing really bad feed back against this Dr. P and I researched him a little better to find out that he IS NOT a registered surgent in the UK. Fuming at the thought of a huge well known top cosmetic surgery firm like THG could let a non- registered plastic surgent preform on me, I immediatly called them and requested my deposit back.

The Manager Mike said they could only give me my deposit back if I had a Doctors Certificate. That was Ok with my GP as he didnt want me to go through with it in the first place.

This is now going on 5 months.... every week I call them asking for my deposite back and they still give me the same excuse that it will be with me soon.

They are so unprofessional, just because they are a well known name- dont think that they are the best for ur surgery.

I have since found a brillant cosmetic surgent, and he has complety refined my confidence to know that there are some great surgent out there.

So my advice to you is research long and hard, look at all the options and go with what your gut tells you!!!

Good luck!

hi ya. Our stories are so similar! im 21 too and want a ba. im in exactly the same situation credit wise and i am desperate to find a joint guarantor. I am still working on my mum, she seems to be crumbling. But she is scared something bad is going to happen to me! Ive heard the hospital group is the best and most popular. let me know how you get on.

I had my BA in January with THG. I had Mr Araco, who did a brilliant job, I went from 36B to 36E, 550hp round overs.
I found all the staff at THG superb, my own mum couldn't have looked after me better.

hiya!
i had a ba with the hospital group this monday 24th, just gone. i had unders with dr michael payne. i had him on a personal recommendation from a friend. i woke up virtually painless, ALL the staff were really nice and comforting. i felt a bit sick from the general anascetic, but stright off i had no bruising. it has been a few days and still no bruising whatsoever, they are symmetrical and i am feeling really confident. i think a good surgeon is the key- im very small so he must have gone very gentle with me! highest recommendations so far!! btw- i am also currently at uni...am going to try and disguise my new figure a bit when i go back 2 avoid staring!! if u want to know anything at all just message me privately on here!!

I don't think dr khan is from THG. If you do a search (use the little search tool at the top) For THG you will get a list of all the posts and can do your research there. I had a consultation there in feb, decided i didn't like them very much, just didn't feel right and decided to go elsewhere. I have read many posts on here about people who have had good and bad experiances with THG but this goes for all the groups. I think you would be better off researching particular surgeons rather than the company itself, so see what surgeons come up and look into those more, XXX

Hey

I had my BA with Dr Araco on Thurs (was meant to have Dr Payne on the Tues but due to him being ill they had to cancel all of his patients - I wasn't happy about this as had psyched myself up so much and was told about 20 mins before we were due to drive to the hospital so we went in to see the Manager and he did all he could and more to sort the situation out so was very grateful!) Dr Araco was brilliant, he was so helpful and really nice and the nurses there couldn't do enough for you - all in all a brilliant experience with THG

Hiya

I'm having my surgery with Mr Araco on 9th May. I'm having 325 - 350cc unders with mastopexy. I'm currently 34B/C and these apparently will take me to a 34D (large). Does this sound right to you girls as some people have said they'll probably be bigger?

Anyway Redred, how did your surgery go?

xx

Hi to everyone reading this

I had my op seven weeks ago today and I have to say that THG are brilliant and Mr Araco is fab!

I had 365cc overs with a full uplift (mastopexy)in the end and I love them. Hardly any pain and scars are healing really well.

Feel free to contact me if you need any further info xx

Hi again well i had my op 5 days ago with mr araco and im doing well so far. Had 365cc overs in the end with an uplift. Glad i had overs instead of unders as im preferring the shape of them and im glad i went a bit bigger too! I should settle to a DD i reckon. Anyway, i have to say the care and the help that THG gave me was first class, the nurses and all of the staff were lovely. Mr araco was great. I havent had much pain or discomfort which has suprised me. I have a tiny bit of numbness on the outside of one boob and sometimes a slight pain when i stand up if ive been sat or lying down too long.

Mr Paganelli at Bromsgrove did my ba op nearly 5 months ago, he was really nice to me and my hubbie, he talked to me and put my mind at ease both at my consultation and before and after my surgery, the only down side now is that ive got CC in my one breast, which hes going to rectify soon.
Good Luck with your op, im sure you'll be absolutely fine...
