Hi Girls - My Adventures at Elyzea BA 10 April

"This is a bit long so maybe best if you print it out"

Took the tram to the clinic and checked in at reception at 10.00am. Walked into the consultation room and met immediately Dr Dedoncker, seemed pleasant enough. Got undressed and he examined me, then Dedoncker asked what it was I was looking for (very straight to the point sort of person) and I said what do you think. He suggested 275/285cc for a C cup. I said I was hoping for more. He then got funny saying all British women want big boobs, what is this all about, all you want is D cups etc etc etc. He went on for ages. He then said for my narrow frame any bigger than a C cup and I would look abnormal (at this point warning bells started going off in my head). We finally agreed on 305cc high profile incision under breast, for a more natural look even though I felt that I was being bullied into this decision. Then Dedoncker found out that I was on my own. Things got hostile, he made me feel minimal and irresponsible and refused to do the operation. I was very close to tears and shaking. I hadn't had any sleep for the last two nights plus diarrhea from nerves then I was told that there would be no BA. One of the nurses had a chat with Dr Dedoncker to see if he would change his mind but he wouldn't. Katrin then came to see me and said Dr Tondu would do the op as it was early in the morning and I could stay till late at Elyzea so that they could keep an eye on me if it was necessary. My immediate thoughts were relief but also panic (who is this surgeon, geared myself up for Dr Dedoncker). Met Tondu and he was the total opposite to Dr Dedoncker. Spoke to one of the admin girls and she was the same height and size as me, round hipped, curvy narrow waist and with DD breasts (her own), she looked amazing and not abnormal. I decided I wanted a D cup not a cup C that Dr Dedoncker suggested. Had consultation with Dr Tondu and we agreed on 335cc would give me a great look (D cup) under the muscle and low profile for a more natural look. He also asked if I would like incision through the nipple so that no scar line would show when I wear a bikini top. I felt like kissing him (I saw two consultants within half an hour and had two completely different opinions!!). Had a little weep when I saw the nurse, nerves and relief. I'm really glad Dr Dedoncker said no and I got Dr Tondu, so easy to talk to and a kind, caring face.

Don't get me wrong, Dr Dedoncker is a good surgeon if you are looking for small breast naturally looking (C cup) but he has no bedside manner just straight to the point and if you are looking for any advice on decisions he won't help you.

Immediately was taken to recovery room to undress and had to put those very sexy paper knickers on. Had another cuddle from the nurse saying don't worry we will look after you and you'll have gorgeous breasts after. Got to the operating room, lay on the table practically naked. They then half covered me with the robe, in walked another nurse and a good looking anesthetist both saying we are the No. 1 team. At this point I felt completely relaxed and at east - in safe hands. Then I was asked to spread my arms out and got one wrist strapped up, thought this is kinky, the anesthetist got the other. Then I got war painted from my knicker line up to the top of my neck. Was talking to the anesthetist as he was asking lots of questions. A screen was pulled up and I was waiting for Dr Tondu to walk in. The next thing I remember was being walked to my room, I never got to see Dr Tondu or my new breasts, don't even remember them putting my surgical bra on but I do know it is a 75cm D cup. Now I have to wait 5 WHOLE days before I can see them (too scared to have a look). Had a sleep, no pain, no sickness and very very happy. Got a taxi at 4.00pm back to the hotel after I'd seen Dr Tondu who told me I had lovely breasts with a good cleavage Yippee. In the evening started swelling up like a puffer fish but could still move around, wash, eat, dress etc.

All in all had a very stressful day.

If any of you are travelling alone because you have no choice like I did then don't tell Elyzea as they don't agree but I was luck with my recovery even though it went very well I still would of liked someone with me so it's best not to do this alone. Also I would like to thank Wendy for keeping me company with her sms's.

You girlies have to wait a few more days for my pics so keep your eyes peeled and if you have any questions just ask as I am stuck in the house for the next few weeks but at the moment am feeling really good after have a decent nights sleep in 3 days, upwright of course.

xx

Hi

I stayed at the above hotel which is a small family run hotel but I thought it was excellent value for money plus it had great reviews on trip advice. Spotless and very helpful staff, they even have a lift.

It's good that your husband is with you for 16th to give you support. You are brave having both done almost together. Can you do that so soon one after the other. Hotel is not far from clinic and I caught the tram in the morning cost 2 euros and got a taxi back which cost 10 euros.

Hope this helps. PM me if you need any more info.

Good luck with your lipo and BA.

xx

Hi Katie

Have just pm you so you can look at the photos of the nipple incision. So far I have no pain in that area and my breasts feel tender but not numb. They only cut half way around the nipple so they didn't take it off, that way there is still blood supply to the area. If you look at the pictures I am sure that there will be no scaring and Mr Tondu said he would stitch the nipple but I can't see any!!. I can recommend Dr Tondu as he specialises in this procedure and if he is not able to make incision through nipple then he will make incison under breast. I would definitely recommend Elyzea even with the experience I had I would go back again. But I think this is enough for me. Bit of a chicken when it comes to surgery. It's taken me 10 years to get this far and I only pushed myself as it is a birthday present for my 40th Birthday.

Good luck with your decision.

Any more questions just ask. In two weeks I will be putting some more photos up so you can have a look how they are healing.

xx

Hiya, got your pm, not been on here for a few days. God your experience sounds like a nightmare! I cant imagine what i would have done if that would have happened to me! I told you that Dr D seemed to just want to get on with it with me although he seemed professional too. He definately shouldnt have said that about british women- that just sounds nasty like he was having a go at you! 300-360 isnt that big anyway! 400plus i think as getting really big. I think it shouldnt put people off having him though unless they want big implants for their frame. I think he doesn't want to get a bad reputation by -in his opinion- giving girls implants that look out of proportion and unnatural. I know you've said now that you think its a bad idea to go on your own anyway- but i agree with Dr D too- I cant believe anyone who would even think of going on their own- thank god you were fine and i cant believe all the things your doing already!! It was 2weeks before i drove! I can't believe he actually refused to operate though- didnt think they could refuse for reasons that they dont warn you about before!

I'm looking forward to comparing your low profile implants to mine as you have similar stats to me. I never thought surgeons would suggest low profiles for smaller girls- unless you have a wider chest? You wont get as much projection with them but they're wider so you should get more of a cleavage and they should luck more natural cos they wont stick out so much. Mine have an inch or so in between them
I'll keep my eyes peeled for your pics!
Happy Healing!

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad day to start off with, but I'm glad to know it got all sorted out in the end. I hope you are happy with your new assets!!
I think Dr D's behaviour was out of order- very unprofessional to complain about 'all british girls wanting big boobs' - what's that all about?? The only point I would say he was 'right' on was when he found out you were on your own. Anything can go wrong when you're fresh out of surgery and youre very limited to what you can do, and I think surgeons are very particular about you having someone there with you that can take care of you.
I could not have done it without my boyfriend - couldn't even wipe my own bott or sit up in bed, hell, I couldn't even lift my arms the slightest.
I am glad Tondu took good care of you and don't forget to upload pictures of your new boobies.
Apart from the episode with Dr D, were you happy with the overall experience, ie the Elyzea staff etc?
"Hi babyfirefly1 - message from goldenbrown1"

Hi

You ask if I am happy with the overall experience regarding Elyzea and I can honestly say yes. I would trust my life with them. They are very professional, surgeons and staff. As soon as you walk in the impression you get is open-ness friendly staff. The premises is to a high standard and hygene wise you can't fault it. After I've seen some of the hospitals in the UK this place is outstanding. Anybody thinking about going abroad this is the place.

Regarding going on my own I think I am one of the lucky ones as I have had no problem whatsoever even the day after surgery, could dress, wash, put make-up on, go down for breakfast, book in at the airport etc. I'm now 4 days post op and feel great - driving, cooking, ironing etc but I still take it easier than normal.

Tomorrow I get to look at them for the first time, I hope I like them. They look good in the surgical bra - just have to wait and see.

Yes I agree with the above, I always recommend Elyzea to anyone that is looking for a good clinic. I especially didn't want my BA in the UK. My boyfriend was hugely impressed to.
My surgeon was the fantastic Dr Badiali who doesn't work for Elyzea any more (think he works in Rome)

Glad you felt ok the day after, I was a wreck due to the GA's, so my boyfriend had to do everything.. that is love, ha ha!

Happy unwrapping the new trophys!

Post pics!!

I had high profile cohesive gel, 335cc in each boob which took me to a 34DD/E. Surgeon was Dr Badiali and I had them behind the gland but infront of the muscle (overs)

Hi there

Tried to have a look but picturetrail asked for password. Would like to see them as I had the same except medium profile behind the muscle. I think mine will be smaller than yours as you tend to loose a bit if you have it behind the muscle but I didn't have much fat on my chest. Tell me did yours go bigger after BA?

you poor thing. I think you should make a formal complaint. The fact that you were paying for this service, you have every right to get whatever sized boobs you like!!! i am glad things turned around for you and I really hope you are happy with your BA when you get to take a peak, I am sure you will be. Congratulations to you, and its just a shame you had to go through all that stress on something that is meant to be so exciting and a happy time for you! I would love to see your pics when you have them up, what are your stats?

Hi

Thanks for the advice but I am so glad now that it is all over and to be honest with you Dr Dedoncker did have a good point. You shouldn't really do this on your own but I had no choice. I think they have done a fantastic job as they look good with the sugical bra on, just the size I wanted plus I am now 4 day post op and have not pain whatsoever. Can get out of bed no problem, feeling really great, will be driving the kids to school tomorrow and back to my normal life but will be taking it easy regarding washing and housework.

My stats are 5' 4", 56kg size 8 top 10 bottom 32a/b. I don't know what I am now as I have not seen them or measured but will be putting pics up in few days but I think they look like a full D cup. Keep an eye out for my thread.

Hi

I have the info you wanted regarding the hotel I stayed in at Brussels.

The Hotel Neufchatel - very close to clinic

The best room is No. 7 (large double). This is a small hotel but I found it very cosy and immacuately clean. You have your own key to let yourself in at night. Very easy to get to the clinic via tram. If you need advice just ask.

Internet site is www.hotelneufchatel.be

You can book via internet site of just phone Mr Brains on 0032 25373725. Also have a look at Tripadvice to see reviews. I was in room 9 (single), small but very cosy, clean and nicely decorated plus my bed was very comfy. Where ever you book always ask for extra pillows as you have to sleep upright for 2 weeks after BA.

Any more questions just pm me.

xx

I feel so sorry for you, i cant believe the way he treated you how dare he be so rude and obnoxious!!! I'm horrified for you and i can picture the scene in my mind well - the last thing you need when you already so nervous.

I want to have my ba with Elyzea and always had in mind tO have Dr Mouallem as first choice or Dr Dendoncker as second. After reading that i will not be seeing Dr Dedoncker, bad day or not i expect a professional to keep his personal opnions himself! I can't believe that another surgeon had to step in - god bless Dr Tondu! Thanks so much for the PM and the post, look forward to seeing your pics of your fab new boobs c/o Dr Tondu

Anyway as they say, every cloud and all that...glad you ended up with Dr Tondu and the results that you have. p.s good move having the incision around the nipple xxx

gee it does sound stressful!!
i can't believe he would not give you what you wanted!

alarm bells or what?

i'm meant to be going to elyzea 8th may with dr d for ba

i'm currently a C and want to be an E with anatomicals!

what happens if he doesn't let me have them- going all that way for nothing!! i mean they might let me have a diff surgeon like you but thats not the point.

i feel really sorry for you!

happy healing and i'm glad you got tondu in the end!

Hi

Don't worry. Dr Dedoncker will give you what you want just don't expect him to be enthusiatic about it. Just tell him straight the size you want to be as he is very professional and don't be on your own as then he won't do the op. Regarding anatomicals he told me that if you put rounds under muscle they give the same effect as anatomicals so why pay more. Go for rounds it saves you money. If you want to be even more natural then low profile gives even more natural look. I have low profile so once I have pics up I will give you a post or look out for my pics.

Thanks for the message.

Hi Vicky
What an unprofession attitude he had... i can't believe it!
Oh well at least you got what you wanted. I had similar comments fron Dr O about us british girls wanting big boobs but i ignored him...and he wasn't being rude!
What a day you must have had hun,im just happy that your ok and whats more happy with your new boobs.
Take care xx

Sorry to hear about dr.dedoncker.. i've no experience with him and much as you could try to reason he might have been having a bad day... that was really unprofessional to be so cold to you. Dr.mouallem knew i was there on my own, and seemed surprised, but accepted the fact that i knew exactly what i was getting myself into and said no more. Because i reacted badly to the drugs, I stayed there past closing time, but they had started on my late so i think they were being lenient. Nelly the receptionist stayed by my side, and took my to my hotel. I think possibly because of me, and i couldn't guess how many others, they've started to re-think letting people go through the op on their own, in case something happens. However, you weren't told it wasn't allowed, just strongly advised not to do it, so it was very unfair for you to be treated like that.
Dr.Tondu sounds lovely, some of the girls on here have said very good things about him, i bet you'll be really pleased with your new boobs. Most of the surgeons do have their own personal preferences and opinions as to the 'perfect' boobs, hence dr.dedoncker thinking you'd look odd with huge boobs, and dr.tondu not. You have to remember that fakes will never be the same as naturals too, so you can't always compare to other girls. At the end of the day, you've walked away with what you wanted, which is a good outcome!
Good luck with your recovery xxxxx

It's strange that each consultant has their own opinions, I've seen three now and all three have been completely different. As for big boobs they just don't look that big to me or my husband plus they are very swollen. I've also ready on some of the threads that fake boobs even though they may measure a D or DD etc but they actually look one size smaller than they measure.
"Hi hun"
Posted by nlwbabe 12 April  at  14:20

omg hun im so sorry to hear of your experience! how awful of him to say about british girls always wanting big boobs! erm we pay so we are entitled to our own opinions of what cup size we want! glad you had your BA in the end, rest up and congrats on your new boobs
