Hey Cheryl,
I must say i love tattoos, but have a good think about what you're getting done. This site shows the tattoos on the skin, which makes a big difference...

Hiya ladies. Im not a great fan of tattoos but think some look pretty gross but some look quite nice. I had a lump removed from my left breast 13 years ago which has left a scar. I do worry about it and on my pics ive tried to hide it but you can still see it. Loads of people have suggested i get a tattoo over it which i dont like the thought of but looking through lots of booby pics some women do have them. Does anyone know of a good website i could visit and have a look around? I dont want to look nasty, more tasteful if a tattoo in that area can!Cheryl xxx

Hi Cheryl.
I too have a scar on my left boob from having a biopsy for skin cancer a year ago. Im very concious of it, yet since having my boobs done it isnt as bad?
I use Bio oil on it & I do believe its helping a lot & I have only been using it since January (as & when I remember). Try that first.
My son has a tattoo over his arm & accross his TB ? You can still see it !!!
A scar in old age is ok, a tattoo when your 60-70 looks awful on your boobs (thats just my opinion) so I dont want to offend others.

Hi,
I have quite a few tattoos (none on breasts), I'm replying because one of my tattoos went over my TB injection scar, it has gone a bit funny in that area and was mentioned by another poster, it seems to have blurred slightly in that area, so to be honest, I would not tattoo to hide scars, I personally wouldn't have a breast tattoo either as I don't find it attractive, but then I'm sure others do find them attractive.

I really dont want to risk looking any worse. My scar is quite old now and i lived with it through my 20's so maybe i guess its just time to accept it. I havent talked to Mark about it but im guessing he'd be dead against it anyway lol. Thanks for your input xxx

Hiya,
I have two tattoos on my wrists - on one wrist I have slight scars from cat scratches - a few tatooists who I saw before getting them done said they don't like tattooing over scars as the ink can 'flare' underneath the skin - giving blurred edges etc.
The lady who I chose to do my tattoos did a very good job - she went very lightly over the scars so the ink didn't flare. I did find it a little more painful over these areas too as the skin is tougher.
On another note my sister has a tattoo on her left breast - it's a celtic one and looks very tasteful.
Think a lot about the type of designs you like, whether you want colour or not etc as you will have to grow old with design and tattoo removal is very painful and can also leave more scarring.
This is the site I used to get an idea of what I want http://www.tattoofinder.com/
Hope the above helps? x
