"Get a new surgeon!" Posted by annzun 18 May at 10:40
Hi. I think you should see someone else. Ok, so he was tired and had had long day, but he should NOT let that show to you. What if he is tired/ fed up/ can't be bothered on the day he does your surgery?! I have seen several surgeons and believe that you know the right one when you meet him. Something just 'clicks' between you and you know he is the one for you. The way you are talking in your post about Marcus, you have not got the right relationship for you to trust him with something this important. Loads more fish in the surgical sea babe - go get 'em! x

I have had a BA with nipple lift combined op back in Sept 06. There was a 2cm difference between the levels of my breast so my surgeon RENATO ZACHEDDU at the hospital group advised a nipple lift would even this out without the need for a full uplift which would result in more scars.
I had 325cc in the left and 400cc in the right implanted through the nipple- this left me with minimal scars which could hardly be seen (I went to my GP and he had to ask where the scar was!) The scar not being under the breast also means that your bra wont rub on it whilst healing- much better!
After my op I ended up MUCH larger than I wanted, I was a 34/36B, asked to go to a D cup, I ended up wearing 34F, sometimes even a 34G. Some people may think of this as a plus, until you start to realise, fitting into clothes without looking like youre wearing a tent isnt easy. Bra prices, most shops go up to a D, possibly E cup. Getting a F or G cup bumps prices up from say £10 for a niceish bra from high street shop, to £30+ from larger ladies shop- not much choice either. Going up 7 sizes in one op proved painful and the caused skin to stretch immensely
Also, the difference in nipple levels was more prominent than ever. It took me 4months of battling with THG to get corrective surgery. After months of me chasing them and endless phone calls they finally agreed to correct. I had a 2nd nipple lift on 17th April 07. When I came around I was in WAY more pain than last time, having much more morphine to cancel out the pain.
I had my dressings off last week (I dont think you would be bandaged up with this type of ba and lift) Its not pretty. But fingers crossed the swelling will settle and my breasts will even out. The level is the same now, though my right breast is, i would say at present 1 cup size smaller than the left.
My experience with The Hospital Group has been horrendous. I have been treated appallingly and left with further scars due to corrective surgery as the procedure wasnt carried out right the first time around.
I would not recommend this company to ANYONE.

hi, I had a consultaion with thg back in march and i booked the surgery. A week before i was due to have my surgery i found some very negative feedback about thg and decided not to risk it! i cancelled and found a great consultant in london instead,he had far more experience and was much more qualified. i had my surgery last month and im very happy. personaly i think that if your consultaion wasnt what you expected can you be assured that the results will be what you expected?! If it didnt feel right dont take the uneccessary risks, you will have to live with the results. Find someone you trust and someone who has plenty of time to discuss every little detail until you are happy. Its good that you have other consultaions, good luck!

"That's exactly what mine was lyk!" Posted by daniellex 12 May at 11:17
Was it Marcus Sforza?
I went for my consult with THG in Manchester. My patient advisor, Kerry was brilliant n my cosultation with her lasted nrly an hr!! Then came the consultation with the surgeon (he too was italian -all their surgeons are either italian or german) .. Was only in there bout 20 mins! He basically jus examined me n told me that implants he would put in n explained (briefly) what he would do n what the end result would b. I didn't try any implants on or anythin, I too was left feelin a bit left down by them but still went ahead with that surgeon. When he came to c me jus before n the day afta my op he was lyk a different person! All smiles n chatty with me n couldn't believe how different he was! My boyfriend joked that he is prob in his element when preforming his ops n that he prob gets a bit bored doin the cosultations as he jus can't wait to get stuck in!

I had consultation with Mr Payne and the advisor said he doesnt like to give girls boobs that look fake. This is fine by me cos i want a natural lookin C cup. The advisor also said that to keep things natural going up 2 sizes is recommended. Of course this depends on your before size and what you are after. Hope this helps.

i had the exact same experience as you! i saw adriano seno in southampton and i was only with him for about 5 minutes, he just said, '300cc will give you a C cup' and that was it! i'm just glad i did loads of research before i saw him because otherwise i would have come out of there totally clueless! and his assistant was doing the hard sell which i really hated...i think you just have to go with someone who you feel comfortable with and actually like, it doesn't mean these surgeons are rubbish, maybe just not what you want in one, if that makes sense??

Hi, I had my 2nd consultation with the hospital group today, I've seen two different surgeons who were both lovely. I didn't ask many questions as I've been asking loads on this forum and asked most of them with the patient advisor and just wanted to know what size would be best for me etc with the surgeon, I suppose some of the surgeons think that the patient advisor has gone over most of it with you and he would just measure and suggest implants etc.
I was shown my implant and had a go of it today with the surgeon but I would suggest that you should have another consultation (whether it's with THG or someone else) and bring some notes in with you incase you forget what to ask.
I've chosen the hospital group as they're one of the few companies which cover capsular contraction and give good aftercare, and also most of the girlies here have had excellent results. I know that the hospital group give free consultations so you can see as many of their surgeons and find one that you're happy with.
If unsure ask anything on this website and I'll help and I'm sure most of the girls here will, even if it's until you see another surgeon.

Thanks for all your replies...its very helpful to hear other peoples experiences too! I will have to go for another consultation with them because i need the op on a fri and the surgeon i saw only operates Mon and Tues! I did like everything else bout them ie aftercare etc so in that way they seemed good! just need to see what the next surgeon is like! Just to be sure though iv got a consultation with Transform, Harley medical and a couple others-thourough amnt i lol
Im only 34a now so i suppose a C is best for me...i am hoping for a big c if there is such a thing just dont want to regret not asking for bigger!!

"C cup" Posted by sarahswansea 12 May at 11:32
I'd say around 300cc would be about right as it's 2 cup sizes, if you want a full C maybe 335 or 350 - but depends if your having overs or unders. By the time you have all your consultations you'll be an expert and will know exactly what you want!
Good luck xxx

"Unders/overs?" Posted by con83 12 May at 17:40
Hi,
Thats another thing im not sure about! he said first that i should have unders but then he said i had enough breast tissue for overs! Can anyone tell me the difference in appearance-i know unders are meant to be more natural but what does that mean? with overs are they more pronounced or something?
thanks, Ci x

"Hi" Posted by laurenbateman 14 May at 16:16
I am 3 days post op, i had my surgery in bromsgrove through the hospital group, cant fault them. Dr.Seno was my surgeon and he has done an excellent job!!! Now i have to wait for them to fluff out.The after care and the nurses at THG is really good. i saw your makin a consult with harley medical ,they charge you a fee for the consult and are more expensive.Transform do not cover you if the unexpected happens and you fall pregnant you forfeit your aftercare.
Just do lots of enquiring and research.
If you find your surgeon to be rreal quick i wouodnt advice him but on the other hand dont go for someone who is really quirky and energetic because they are probablly on something ,you nwant someone who is calm and to the point.
hope this helps xoxo

Hi Lauren,
"dont go for someone who is really quirky and energetic because they are probablly on something"
Ha ha this had me giggling lol
Thanks for the info! Im going to Transform tomorrow cos iv heard good things about them but i did like the hospital group in general just not that particular surgeon! I have to have a consultation with a different one there cos that guy didnt operate on Fridays and i need mine done on a Friday (24th Aug hopefully )
How did your op go...are you recovering well? did you have unders? I think i will have these too but im worried about them being very high up and strange looking at the start! how do yours look?
Sorry for so many questions! Ciara xxx

"Dr straten " Posted by lizzie277 17 May at 14:38
Not sure which thg you're talking about, but I had mine done 4 weeks ago now @ the one in Bromsgrove... I was a little apprehensive after my first consultation when I saw a diff. surgeon, however they offered me a really good price and having read good reviews I decided to go with them..... because I wanted the op done so soon they booked me in with Dr Statten who I met the nte before the op... I was so glad to have him, he was the nicest, gentlest man you could ever meet, really put me @ ease.. the opp was a success and I am now really happy with my new additions... I would recommend that you ask for Dr Stratten, as I know the other guy I saw I felt uneasy with... good luck!
