that's what my surgeon told me. he said cos i had unders he didn't want me to wear a sports bra at all for 1 mth. they all have their different opinions tho.
don't know about massaging, would think nurse will tell me when i see her in a week (only had ba yesterday)

bec xx
"Dropping!!!"

Hi

I've had unders and uplift. Got to wear the sports bra for 8 weeks but after 2 was told I cold leave it off at night. Think it does help them drop. The massaging does help soften the implant and helps it drop, i do it twice a day for a few minutes. My nurse did mention tho that it could take a while cos the swelling has to also go to allow the implant room to drop too.

I'm four weeks post op and mine have dropped since my BA but still have a way to go. Still bit hard too.

Hope this helps

when can you start this massaging ? i am 5 days post op. also i had a problem with my sports bra initially and had to go without one for a few hours - this led to my stitches pulling through the weight and i may ahve to go back to hospital to have them re-stitched - so i would be really careful not wearing a sports bra.

I started massaging 12 days post op after my dressings came off but I had uplift too. In some paperwork I was given it said after 5 days could massage but the only reason i couildn't was cos of the uplift. I also had unders. Don't know whether that would make a difference re leaving the bra off and poulling on the stitches. Did you have unders or overs?

All surgeons/companies are different. I would check before doing anything.
