"Flying"
Posted by moomintwo 27 April  at  22:10

I flew there and flew back. I had taxi from airport to b and b going and tram from b and b, then shuttle to airport and flew back (only because taxi was so expensive going to b and b I didn't have enough euros).

If I go again I think eurostar next time. I only flew because of fear of unknown and the fact I flew from Bristol and live in Somerset whereas eurostar is london which is another complete journey home from waterloo.

Whole thread for the following message:

What made your journey back from Brussels more comfortable after a BA.
What did you decide
Eurostar or flying?

"Train"

I have a 2 hour train ride to London and then the eurostar. Just 'cos it's cheaper than flying. I've been on the eurostar before and always thought it was comfy and from London back to my home we're going first class just 'cos you know what virgin trains get like sometimes, people packed in and I didn't fancy being bumped into.
"Flying fine"

Hi there

I flew and the flying was fine, no probs at all. Drive home fine also, just remember the pillows!

Tram was very 'sore' on the boobs - all the stopping and taking off. Was very busy and no seats available so had to stand and hold onto the railing. Would not recommend unless seats available!

"We drove"

We drove and it was much better than I expected - I had a pillow between my body and the seatbelt and it was far more comfortable than I'd thought. It was also nice not to have to face anybody else as I looked really crap!! The painkillers did their job and I slept a lot of the way.

"Flew to charleroi brussels then shuttle bus to midi station"

Found it a very smooth experience. No rushing or conjestion plus people more than happy to help take the wheely suitcase and put it in locker for me and off the plane.

"I flew...."

And it was fine. It was the taxi journey to the airport that was uncomfortable so i'd reccommend the train to the airport after 7pm when its its quiet. The train from the airport on the way there seemed smooth and comfortable enough but got a taxi back as thought the train might have been too busy as it was 5oclock so i might have been knocked about. I'll never know now but wish i would have risked the train back to the airport instead of the taxi! x
"Eurostar"
Posted by beckyk1 29 April  at  07:20

Hi,
I went with my mum who'd had lipo on 6 areas and i'd had my boobs done,The eurostars very smooth and comfy,I dont think i'd fancy going in a car as i think i'd feel every bump!.I think it doesnt matter between flying or eurostar but i'd look at the waiting time on each,as for us it was all the standing up,because i was tense i got really bad referred back pain(think its quite common),so i would see which one has the least waiting time.
Good Luck
"Eurostar"

I took the eurostar it was comfortable lots of leg room and no bumps whatsoever. No worrries of having to get off the plane then get more transport into brussels. There was no queing and they were on time too, and a fraction of the price of flying (At the time i booked) anyway.
