"Haematoma anyone?" Posted by moomintwo 27 April at 21:50
Hi, had arms lifted in December at Elyzea. All healed really well except I was left with a bit of a lump at the top of one arm. Anyway, saw surgeon few weeks ago for check up and she suggested getting an ultra sound scan. Well before I could arrange it, woke up one morning and arm hurt like hell, throughout day it got hotter and hotter and developed a red rash. Went to A & E (aren't they sniffy if you have had surgery abroad) and saw two nurses, Mrs Sniffy and Mrs Judgmental, anyway they said they wouldn't touch me as it would invalidate agreement with surgeon (like I cared, I thought my arm was going to fall off) left with antibiotics, went to GP next day, he arranged ultra sound and gave me more antibiotics, well after six very painful days arm miraculously cured apart from lump, Bit of a ... up with the ultra sound as hospital 'lost' application for scan (I think Mrs Judgmental nurse obviously works in post room of hospital too). Waiting for scan as GP has now arranged emergency one. They all think I had an infected haematoma - anyone had one of these? GP said they were common years ago when breast surgery first began. Any advice would be greatly received.
