"Fobbed off!"
Posted by dawn1uk 29 May  at  18:32

As you can all imagine I was fobbed off- he wasnt too pleased to see me either. I did add that i would have been happy to see my Patient Co-ordinator, but shes the clinic manager and obviuosly doesnt have the time to see me. anyway.....

He said there is nothing wrong with them! I told him i could feel the implant falling through and he just laughed and said it was the swelling still. But he did add something like he put the implant lower down, but if this is the end result of that then why dont they explain what will be visable!Argghh

I know im fretting but it is visible. I have looked at soo many boobs on here and most of them look great!!

anyone else had same problem as me?

Thanks girls

"I have a horrible ridge at bottom of implant-19 days post op-pls see pics and advise"
Posted by dawn1uk 28 May  at  20:26

i am now 19 days post op- had 380 High Profile overs with Mr Singh. Everything was going fine....it was only last thursday that the last of the plasters came off my scars. After taking some photos i noticed that they didnt look right.

my implants are sitting about 2 cms below my natural breast fold- Like a ridge..looks like double bubble or bottoming out!!I cant even bend over properly as the implant is too big and digs in. Sorry cant explain myself well.

My pics are now updates just now. can you please have a look girls and advice. has this happened to anyone else? do you think it will settle or do i need smaller implants?

Going back to see Mr Singh tomorrow to get his opinion!

Please let me know what you think

Thanks Girls

Hi,
I had exactly the same problem in my right boob,It became really visable about 1 week after surgery and appeared worse some days.
I am pleased to tell you that im now 5 months p.o and it has gone!.Some days you can very slightly see it but only if you knew what you were looking at,so hang in there,I was thinking ''oh my go ive got double bubble'' but i believe its just where the old brast crease was or something.
All the best and try not to worry too much.

"Hi there"
Posted by jendon 30 May  at  10:55

I have the same prob I have double bubble and I had to fight for a reop. But now I face another one with a different surgeon as the op didn't work, I am getting overs this time.
Just be angry don't get upset anger is better, don't give up they have an obligation to fix it as it is the surgeons fault my patient co ordinator at transform told me that they have no choice they have to fix it.
So i will have to wait till October for my third op to let scars heal properly again.
Its horrible you get this done thinking its going to be straight forward and end up with this I know exactly how you feel.
Hope all goes well for you

"He lowered the natuaral crease, honey"
Posted by xxamberxx 31 May  at  09:41

if he lowered the natural crease. (this is sometimes required for implant to fit in pocket and so nipples are more less central to implant) this is done alot without patient knowing.

mine was lowered the 1st time with unders, and i really didnt want it lowered again but had to to fit in 605cc! anycase my last surgeon did not lower one of the crease enough, i had 1cm lowered.
im stil in bandages so i hope mine will be ok
but i think maybe it will take you some time for breasts to mould into place.

keep an eye on it and keep a lil diary and take pictures tho , just in case.

Hey Dawn,

Sorry to hear that today was unsuccessful

At the end of the day (and no offence because i'm in exactly the same boat) but that should NOT happen to your boobs - it certainly shouldn't be the end result. Whilst everyone's boobs are different, and no two BA's will be the same, I totally understand why you are upset. In your case it may well rectify itself over the next month or two. However, when I pointed out my concerns to my surgeon at my 6 week check, HE was the one who insisted I come back to see him after 3 months, HE was the one who mentioned re-ops - although this is what I want, HE was the one to point out that he will do anything he can to make me happy, but he couldn't reoperate until at least 6 months, if it came to that. That suggested to me that he was in complete agreement with what I was saying - otherwise why would he himself bring up the subject of a re-op without me asking for that? He actually gave me a hug and insisted that I come back to see him - even if the problem had sorted itself out (which it hasnt) just because he wanted to make sure I was ok.

Sorry if ive waffled, but please please don't give in. I would wait until you are 3 months then insist to see him if it hasn't rectified itself.

The problem with Mr Singh is that he is so well known (and granted a very good surgeon) so he doesnt care as much - his reputation is fantastic anyway. Problems like yours & mine are things that can't always been anticipated - they sometimes just happen.

Hope you are ok and please don't feel too defeated. I'm sure if you keep pishing/complaining they will back down in the end

xx

I think this site might be useful:

Fortunately this can be remedied.

Posted by dawn1uk 28 May  at  20:44

Awww, just try and be strong a tell him you want it fixing. He will probably make you come back after about 3 months - my surgeon said he can't re-operate until at least 6 months after the first op anyway, so just gotta hang in there. And it it still early days for you hun - it may very well go away completely after a few months.

Fingers crossed for you xx

This is what I have!! Grrrr. I don't think it is bottoming out - my surgeon purposefully lowered my creases by 2cm. I had my 6 weeks check and cried my eyes out cause I was gutted and have another check 13th June (about 15 weeks post op by then). He said if they havent improved he will do what he can to make me happy... Mine didnt appear til 4 weeks post op and although it has improved slightly, it is unlikely to change at all now as i'm over 3 months post op.

Let me know how you get on tomorrow xxx

I just had a look and i really dont think there is anything to worry about- there is a lot of swelling and your implants are sittting higher at the moment, i'm pretty sure that they will drop into the new creases the ps made for you. Really at 20 days po your boobies are not finished changing and dropping- mine have taken nearly 5 months and i'm still noticing changes.

Best of luck, try not to worry

Mimi
