Hi guys
Ive got rhinoplasty this monday with Transform, and I applied for the 12 month interest free payment plan a while ago. I got told TODAY that it has been rejected, but they won't say why. Even though I have a good salary, I couldn't afford the full amount yet, i told her all the circumstances and she said it was fine and I'd get approval. So I thought my mum could give her details and I'd pay my mum back. But they also said it is too late for my mum to give her details. She even said there was no guarantee I could get the 60 months payment plan, and that the only alternative was to pay the full amount before friday, as it is too close to the date! I now have had to beg my mum to pay the full amount on her credit card, and I didn't want to do this as I didn't want to burden her at all, she's already stressed out as it is. I feel totally let down by them, and if I cancel now I will lose my deposit, and will undo all my hard work and enthusiasm, let alone the time and energy I spent sorting this out.
Has anyone experienced this? To be told 5 days before your op to pay the final amount is crazy. I felt like it was their mission from the beginning to get the full amount paid because even in the consultation, when discussing the payments she said "so, it will be 3 thousand blah blah blah and you can pay by debit or credit card", without even mentioning the "flexible" payment plans - until I said "erm actually I can't pay in full now"

I also applied for finance with transform but was declined. My partner has now decided to apply on behalf of me but the finance company have taken over a month to decide the outcome we have had to send in loads of info. Debbie-my patient co-ordinator has told me that the finance company are a waste of time and I would be better trying through the bank!

I have a consultation with transform on tues for ba and am a bit concerned now hearing your story! I asked the lady over the phone about finance and she said it wouldnt be a problem even though I dont work! she said if I had a guarantor that would be ok which I have!
When do they ask for a deposit?
I hope I dont have to use someones credit card!

Hi, i hpe my story didnt put you off! All of these types of places take your deposit off you and book the bed in really early, literally first consultation if you wanted to, saying that you'll be ok for the finance plan, but i really think they are being clever. If I were you, don't put your deposit down (about £600 at Transform) until you've got approval for the finance plan you want. That way, you've got more time to weigh up your options. They know that if you pay the deposit, they can turn round to you after and say you were rejected by the finance company and because you've already paid your deposit, they'll know you will rather rush around sorting out the money i.e on someone else's credit card than cancel and lose your deposit. At least if they had given me a bit more notice than 3 working days, I could've sorted out a loan with my bank or got a credit card etc, so i was really annoyed! Having said that, at least with my mum paying its sorted and I can have my surgery and never have to deal with them again. Good luck, just make sure you find out if you're eligible for the finance before paying any deposit! xx

i have to say that does sound really bad!!
they all try to lure you in because there is so much competition out there but you should of been told straight away if you had been rejected.
i would ring them again and ask why? tell them you are not happy with the service.
if you want to have a consultation with another surgeon somewhere else you could prob still get booked in within a couple of weeks and get a payment plan that suits you?
if you still want it done at transform i would get yourself a credit card on 0% interest(usually about 10 months) and make sure you pay it off in that time-if you put it on your mums you will end up paying loads extra in interest and you will take years to pay it off!
hope that helps a bit! rach xxx

I think the main thing is the fact that I've booked 2 weeks off work starting from the 4th, there is no way I can mess work round again, I only gave them 3 weeks notice for my holidays lol! Also, she said I would lose my deposit of 600 pounds, even though it's not really my fault, it's theirs.
I am going to basically go home and give my mum the biggest hug in the world because she's really helped me out, I don't really know how to thank her. otherwise I'd have been screwed!

I think that's really bad. When I first went to Transform I was thinking about taking advantage of the 0% finance offer and she told me at the time that she wouldn't book my surgery date until the finance had been approved. As it happens I didn't need to go that route but i think it's completely their fault if they've booked your date etc without knowing for sure that you've got the finance. They shouldn't have done that. I'd demand my deposit back if I were you unless you're 100% happy to go through with borrowing from your Mum.
