"Don't get sizing!"
Posted by faerygold 15 June  at  21:12

I got measured at Debenhams, well a lady I work with measured me, and it's different to the way I have been measured in placed like La Senza and M&S (rubbish). I wanted to see what size I really am pre-op, as here I am saying I want to end up a D cup. Well she measured me and said I am should wear a 32D now. I didn't try any bras on but I just don't get that. Anyone who has seen my pictures can see I am blatently NOT a D cup! Well if I am, what size am I gonna be post-op? About a size G at this rate! I am wearing a 34B/C bra at the moment, I know it doesn't fit, especially in the back so I probably am a 32, but there's just NO way I can be a D cup.

So my question is when I see my surgeon next week (Argh!) before my op, what's the point in me saying I want to be a D cup - as this obviously has no meaning really. But then taking photos in I've been told is also pointless because everyones boobs are different and he isn't going to be able to give me the same results as say someone who's had no children and has no loose skin.

Baffled now.

"Sizing??"

I think you probably are 32D - you look similar size to me pre op and I was wearing 34C (same as 32D), but I only filled the bottom half of the bra - I had no fullness at the top. I asked to be filled and to LOOK a 34D/DD, so my PS gave me 300cc HP overs and I am now wearing 34E/32F, although I look the 34D/DD I asked for. Hope this makes sense.

I feel for you hun as this whole sizing thing is also driving me crazy!! I had a look at your pics & I'd say you were a B/C not a D but then again like another post says if you go down a back size you'd have to go up a cup size to a D. So the lady in Debenhams is probably recommending a D cup for the best support for you although you may fit into a 34B/C just fine.

I was a 34A/B I had 380 unders & if I measure myself I'm a 34D, I'm a 32E in La Senza, a 34DD in M&S & a 32F in my local bra shop aaaarrrrggghh! its so hard buying bras now, I just try em on & plump for the best fitting one. When you visit your surgeon just tell him you want to go up a couple of cups sizes lol. They can't guarentee cup sizes anyway as I think womens sizes confuse them also! Good luck

i no what u mean i measure a 32DD post ba and there's no way they look it but i was a 34C/D when breast-feeding and they measure the same around boobs now as they did then and they look the same size BUT cos i've lost weight now i'm a 32 backband so the cup size has increased. u may well be a 32D cos ur boobs would look the same size as 34 B/C boobs. i'd take in some pics of ur ideal boob size and some that r 2 big/small in ur opinion so the ps gets what u want.

I was 34d before op and like you didn't feel like I looked it. I had 410cc. I breast fed three children so had the emptiness also, if you want to see my pics pm me! I do feel more in proportion now I have to say!

hi.. just saw ur pics , id say u was def not a D, im a 32 c and i look bigger then you are now... i also had my son when i was 20 i didnt breast feed but lost weight to quick, so there abit flat, im having my BA on 10th sept, im having either 410cc high profile overs or 460cc, alot of the girls on here think i will end up about a f-g but you have to remember that fake boobs arnt like real boobs they look alot smaller to what they measure up.. everyone ends up different,.... hope this helps

I measured a 34C, no way did i look a C but a B gave me the 4 boobs look.
I had wide boobs with no forward projection, thats why I want mine done, measureing a 34F now but think I look like a big DD

how much are they putting in?? My boobs look a lot like yours maybe a bit smaller. I wear a 34 c but dont fill it corectly due to the deflatedness of my boobs!!! lol i told my surgeon thi and he said i lok more like a 34 small b!! which is prob right, but then i wouldnt feel comfortable wearin lat size as i wud feel like i was spilling out! bra measurements also vary from shop to shop and the style, best just to try bras on and ignore the size! I just hope im happy with the look of them after!!

Nurse said 250 in one and 300cc in other (having round overs) I am really worried they'll look rubbish.

I would of definatly tried on a 32D bra just to see, if you are wearing a 34C bra at the mo but its too big in the back you mite find you are a 32D. I would try on a 32D to see before you go for your op coz like you say it'll be hard to tell your p.s you want a D if you are already in a D!! have you got pics?? Can i see? X
