Hiya girlies,

I'm due to have my BA on Monday with THG and was told that I would be contacted approximately 48 hours before hand to tell me what time I had to be there for, and also when I have to fast from - I've not heard and I'm fretting!! I know its only Saturday still, but I can't help thinking I've been missed off the list and they've forgotten about me! My patient care co-ordinator is on holiday until 27 June.

Anyone out there been with THG and not heard anything at this late stage? If so, when did you hear?

By the way, I'm making my own way there so don't need transport.

Thats so unprofessional that you have not heard anything. I had op with transform and I recieved a confirmation pack about a week before op confirming time to be admitted and all information with regards to fasting.
Mine said not to have alcahol 48 hours prior to op
No garlic the night before (dont know why)
I had my op at 8am so had to fast from the night before.
If you are not having op till afternoon you should be able to have a light breakfast and then nothing (including chewing gum). Think you can have water up until admittance time.
Are you sure you dont have anything in writing from them.

I have confirmation of my admittance on 23rd but it just says that someone will ring me approximately 48 hours before to let me know what time I have to check in and also what time I have to fast from.

Most people I've spoken to about THG have said they had to be there for 7am, which isn't a problem, but what I don't want to do is travel all the way there (approx 200 miles) to be told I not on anyones list!!

Probably doesn't help that I had a dream I wasn't having my BA, last night!!

I hope I'm worrying for nothing xxx
