"I would follow what ur ps says" Posted by alexander04 1 July at 12:25
They all say something different, but i would follow what u've been told, reason being is that if you should have any post operative problems ur ps could blame you for wearing an underwired bra when u shouldn't have etc etc, could be used as a way of not adhering to their aftercare policy because you didn't do as you were 'told' if you know what i mean.
Just something to be mindful of thats all.
You could call and ask them why u can only wear one for a couple of hours a day and when you will be able to wear one 'full time'
Hope that helps

hiya, i was told by my nurse at mya that it can cause you to get a double bubble because the wire indents into the boob?? i had my op on the 30th april, still not wearing underwired bras yet, not worth it if they recommend u not to for a while.

I hope thats not why i have double bubble!!! I was told by ps i could wear normal underwired bra's at six weeks, So i did. When i saw him and i had double bubble he didn't say anything about Why it happened. He just booked me in for a re-opp. How long do you think you should not wear underwired bra's for? How long do they say? Six weeks was hard!!!! Anna
