"Happening a lot" Posted by flakey 5 July at 13:29
My patient co-ordinator put me off applying for their interest-free 12 month loan because she said that market conditions meant a lot of people were being turned down. In the end, my boyfriend, who on paper looks like a much better credit bet than me, took up the loan and it was accepted. My plan B was to apply for an interest free credit card - Barclaycard are currently doing a 9 month interest free on purchases.
Good luck. Georgina

best thing to do is log onto www.experian.co.uk and get a copy of your curent credit report, this will show a score out of 1000 (0 being crap, 1000 being awesome). it will give you an indication of where you stand getting credit and helps you sort it out for the future. the more you apply for loans and get refused the worse it looks on your report so please look into it before applying for more credit and ruining your report!!

"Try your bank?" Posted by boogie1976 4 July at 21:17
Hi
I had the same problem as you, couldn't get a loan anywhere (apart from the company's who's apr was stupid, i.e. 60%).
As a last resort, I tried my bank. I don't know why I didn't think to try them in the first place!). Anyway, have got a loan for half and a credit card for the other half both through my bank.
I did have to go into my branch and grovel a bit but my ba is now booked for the 19th August!
I hope you manage to find somewhere willing to give you a loan x
All the best Lou xx

"Ba's own finance" Posted by rachelh4 4 July at 19:55
A lot of the meical groups offer their own finance, but you dont need to take them up on their offer paying withing a short period of time to get the 0% interest, just ask for how ever long you want it.

I had same problem, so saved up and went to Belgium to Wellness Kliniek. BA cost £1600 and I would recommed it to anyone. I had nipple incision and im now 16 days post op and have no scarring at all! If you would like to see my pics or want any info regarding the clinic just PM me.

"Hey there..." Posted by wishing27 4 July at 18:56
Hey,
Have you tried Elyzea for surgery? I had anatomicals so slightly more expensive but at Elyzea it's more affordable than over here for surgery. Mine BA cost £2,460.
Failing that some companies do offer finance but it is whether you want to go down that route.
Good luck!

"Snap!" Posted by charleywarley 4 July at 19:24
Hiya,
Im in the same position - Ive been declined for LOADS because Im so eager to have it done which has obviously affected my credit rating!
HOWEVER!!! I applied for medical finance, and they rang me today, and asked a few questions like where I would be having my surgery, and my wage. Because of my income they said if I could get someone to do a joint application with me they would get to processing my application - which I shouldnt really get my hopes up about but they make it sound good dont they?!
Just gotta butter my boyfriend up...Might take him out for dinner in a minute!!
If not though, its the saving route for me. : (
Rubbish!
Best of luck!!

"Hi ya" Posted by ang1983 5 July at 13:13
I got a loan to clear my credit cards as bank offered lower interest, i tried to get a top up for BA (car!!! haha) but they said no!!! Now i notice i have run the cards back up so i might as well slap my BA on one of my cards and then keep balance transfering as nearly all my cards offer a promotion of 0% on transfers and i will just keep shifting it around until its paid off
