In terms of how I've been coping since then... Khan came to see me at about 13.30. I was well ready to go home by then. He had a few minutes for me to ask q's then, which I had prepared in advance. He's a fast talker. Think of your q's in advance and maybe write them down. He doesn't seem to have a great amount of time to go over things after the fact. Make sure your guest is there with you to get all the answers you need as you might be a bit overwhelmed by it all.
I got dressed and made my way out. I took a pillow with me in the car to go between me and the seatbelt. I had a bit of a commute home (approx 60min) so needed to be comfortable. I haven't taken any more pain meds since. I'm doing not too badly. In fact I felt up for running a few low key errands with my BF on the way home. A short, slow moving trip to Argos and PC World was fine for me. Hope it's all a good sign that things won't be too bad over the next few days. However, I'm expecting the next few days might be a bit of a slog.
They gave me prescribed pain meds and 3 days worth of antibiotic. I have full use of my arms right now, but dont' want to use them as it might be a false reality.
End part 4
