Hey everyone... *hugs*...
Im having Dr Tondu at Elyzea for my BA/UL, under Twilight Anaesthesia, in 10 days time, and im a bit worried about the needle ~ im notoriously hard to find a vein with apparently, and although my hands are ok i think, the crook of my arm looks like it doesnt have any big veins (my veins collapsed after giving blood lots of times).
Anyway i was just wondering how many needles do they put in, and where are they inserted???
Is it just 1 needle in the hand, or do they put one in the crook of your arm too?
What if they cant find a vein there? ~ i have one i can see on the back of my arm, running from my elbow to my wrist.... does anyone know if they will be able to use that if necessary? Im worrying now!.. can anyone offer me any advice?
Thanks hunni, luv Marie. xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Marie I went to elyzea about 6 weeks ago now, With me they only put in one IV and it was on the inside of my arm, about 2-3 inches down from my elbow crease, if that makes sense???
I was expacting it to go in the back of my hand, but it wasnt...
I also struggle with IVs etc in the past and especially in my left arm more than my right, but it was the left that i had it in and they got it first time, which is probably a first for me???
Dont worry too much, they know what there doing,, You will be just fine..
Best of luck xxxx
