"Hiya" Posted by brea2006 16 July at 19:50
the support bra i got from elyzea was fine under certain clothes- ones that cover support bras.
however i am now 2 months post op- i still wear sports bra's because they say you can t wear underwired for 3 months- all the non wired bra look really grannyfied tho. so jst stuck to the elyzea bra and another sports bra
now when i wear the elyzea bra under clothes my boobs look small-they really compres them -but great for trotting my horse as they dont jiggle!!
when i wear the other sports bra everyone's like god how big are your boobs, have you got a padded bra on.

The way i see it is that you pay all that money for a ba, so 6 weeks is nothing. I must admit it is hard to wear certain clothes over it, but it is only for 6 weeks.

Btw, i do totally agree. You should always follow the advice of your surgeon. If yours says to wear the one provided then def stick to that. I was just saying that my Surgeon said i could wear any sports bras, so i was just sharing that.

"Sports bra" Posted by jenabena 16 July at 15:03
Surely you can just buy some other sports bras to wear also? I mean, they cant expect you to wear the same one for 6 weeks! lol! you need to wash it at some point, and then what will you wear?! I was given a bra from Linia which i wore for the 1st couple of days. And then bought alternate sports bras to wear.
I figured thats what everyone did, or at least i've read that alot of people did the same.
Good luck with your op though. im sure it will go brilliantly! xx

"Its big" Posted by eiramh29 16 July at 14:54
Hi hun
I have mines on now - 5 days post op. Its big, uncomfortable and black but under clothes it doesn't look too bad. It looks like the kind of bra my gran wore years ago. But hey, only another 5 weeks to go!

Hey
It is big and black, it is essentially a maternity bra with velcro straps lol. So you wont be able wear light colours for work. Its not obviously once its hidden under your clothes its just that its quite big so low cut tops are a no no. Hope that helps xx

"Thanks...." Posted by stefie811 16 July at 15:23
thanks everyone, yeah that does help!
unfortunately jenabena at elyzea u get told to wear their support bra for 6 weeks! from what ive heard, its very tight and helps prevent swelling, its a proper surgical bra as opposed to a sports bra. obviously it will be taken off to be washed tho lol!
a friend of mine had BA though and coped fine just with a regular sports bra (from primark lol), so im sure if i need a release from the elyzea one i could slip a sports one on for a bit!
thanks again everyone xxx
