Hi. I'm 10 days post op (BA) and had stiches remooved yesterday, but the bra is rubbing on the wounds and annoying me. Have any of you been advised to cover them, or should I leave them to let the air help them heal? Thanks.

Hi,

It`s fine to put something like cotton wool between your scars and your bra band. At 2 weeks Post Op it`s ok to leave your sports bra off at night so you`ll notice a difference as the scars heal more and hopefully it won`t be so annoying then.

Hope this helps

Must admit I felt the same as one of my scabs was quite big, if you don't have scabs its ok. I put some kleenex under band so it wouldn't stick and then I found a nice bra in M&S which has an air hole above the band to get air to them. I haven't left my sports bra off at night yet but do leave it off for a few hours at a time and its bliss!
