Hi there
I had my op on tuesday 15/7 (3 days ago). I have two 3.5 year old very active twin daughters, 3 cats and a dog, and no husband at home (we're separated). Getting any sort of R&R is impossible. My boyfriend is helping with some of the more physical stuff like bathing the twins and carrying my food shopping for me, but the general day to day stuff such as housework, cooking, getting the girls dressed, walking the dog, making the beds - etc etc etc Im just having to carry on with. Im knackered but Im not in any particular pain - I stopped taking pain killers about 24 hours ago.

My question is, do you think it is okay to be doing all this stuff so soon after surgery? I'm off the alcohol for a couple of weeks and Im trying to look after myself nutrionally but resting up is not an option. On top of all this, I start work again at the weekend which is mainly laptop based.

What has everyone else done post-op - I would be very interested to hear.

Thanks.
Georgina

I had my op 11 days ago and i am back to doing everything now but just being careful.I did have my hubby at home for the first week which did help as i have a 7 month old baby girl so i didnt want to risk lifting her but to be honest i could have managed after day 5ish on my own. I had unders but was really lucky to have no pain x
