I had a nipple lift and implants a few years ago with one of thg surgeons a few years ago and have had lots of problems including, abscesses and a nipple that has stretched substancially. After 6 revisions to try and correct it I eventually asked to see a different surgeon for another opinion. Mr Zacchedu was fantastic. After a quick revision procedure, he stopped the abcesses which had plagued me and I am now just about to have a full uplift with him because i have a huge amount of confidence in him. I think he was very approachable and not at all arrogant. He's great!!!

I had mine with Renato in 2006. 2-years on, no problems whatsoever.

He's quite a funny guy actually, and fancies himself as a ladies man. I wonder if that makes him better at his job actually.

As someone else had mentioned, he is quiet and can come across as a bit unapproachable at the first consultation. As mentioned before, I just told him, 'make them natural,' and left it at that. I went from a 36A to a 36C, 250cc. He tried the 275cc implants during the operation, but felt that they didn't look quite right.

I had mine sub muscular (behind the muscle) and the recovery was agony. It was probably about 4-weeks before I could drive. And about 6-months when the upper muscles were just getting back to normal. It is surprising just how many of those muscles that you use to do everyday things.

I would go back to him again definitely. But with regards to the Hospital Group, their admin is absolutely atrocious! Before the operation it was a concern, but I just assumed that it was me being a worrier. I didn't actually have my follow up 3-month consultation as they kept on saying they'd write, then didn't. Then they didn't have any slots, then they said they'd write again, and didn't. In the end I just gave up.

Renato. He did an excellent job. Good helpful people in the hospital too, very diligent and traditional. It's a bit like the way the NHS hospitals used to be where they have a scary Matron. Even made me a cup of tea at 3am.

I hope that helps someone. Really, you are in safe hands. Just think of a slightly tanned young flash guy from Italy swanning about with silk lined jackets. He knows boobs!

He may know putting boobs in and by my experience he certainly knows about reducing them and lifting them up and now I am 4wks post op with tummmy tuck, M.R. and lipo, he has done a fabulous job, saw him yesterday and he and I are very happy indeed, whatever I have done next if anything I would personally go to no-one else

If you have had surgery already you can ignore this. I went in last week for my breast uplift and augmentation and he has done such a good job. Unfortunately, I went abroad to have all this done one year ago and it went horribly wrong so I needed corrective surgery as my implant was almost in my armpit.....not pleasant! Renato reassured me that he could fix the problem and I found him to be very understanding and reassuring. From the look of them now only 5 days after surgery I would say he has done an amazing job. He has his own website where you can view some pictures of work he has done before. http://www.renatozaccheddu.com. All in all I'm happy and would really recommend him. I hope all goes well & wish you all the best.

I had my op with Renato on the 5th of December. Went from a 32A to a 32DD... he chose the size of the implant, I just explained at the consultation I wanted them to look as natural as possible. I really couldnt be any happier with the job he has done - qualified or not he sure knows how to do boobs!

At my initial constulation with him I thought he was really quiet - seemed quite unapproachable - however on the day of the op he was brilliant and has been there after. I got an infection 11 weeks after my op and I went to see him about it he knew exactly what to do and told me he was in Glasgow every thurs and I could pop in and see him at anytime if I needed to! Ive heard bad things about the aftercare with THG but I havent had any probs at all. My infection cleared up with antibiotics and I am so pleased with my boobs.

You have to realise this guy does so many boob jobs - the day I was down he was doing 9! Therefore its logical every single op isnt going to go smoothly, Im sure every surgeon has some negative feedback. However I would def reccomend him, he was fantastic

sorry to keep harping on at everyone, i dont think he is a qualified plastic surgeon.

I checked the GMC website and then cancelled my consultation.

however i thought the hospital group seemed ok.

i ended up seeing paganelli who is also not qualified.

"Gmc - you are wrong"
Posted by mrc26 4 March  at  23:42

If you bothered to check the GMC records correctly and new how to do a search properly you would have found his reg number on the GMC website. His number for your info is 4447324. There telephone number is 0845 3573456. You may want to give them a call.

I had breast surgery only last week and can i say he has done a tremendous job and found him to be quite the gentleman. Unlike you i did my homework so unfortunately you missed out on a fantastic surgeon. Best of luck.

hi yes i know he is ON the gmc database but under their list of qualifications he is not qualified in plastic surgery.

Anyone who has done a medicine degree can be on the gmc website.

Look up guy sterne and you will see he is qualified in plastic surgery.

I have not missed out on a fantastic surgeon, i have chosen to go with one qualified in plastic surgery.

Posted by stanyer21 29 March  at  19:53

i agree with you missbrum, i also found when i looked up alot of surgeons they were not qualified cosmetic surgeons just qualified surgeon. you want a surgeon that is qualified to perform cosmetic surgery. most surgeons i looked up were not only a few that i recognised.

I have just got back from surgery on thursday and i went to dolan park hospital in Birmingham where Dr Zaccheddu peformed an uplift with implants. It is now Monday and i am soooo sooo pleased with the results.

When i first met him i thought he was very quiet, but he is a fantastic surgeon.

I have never had cosemtic surgery before this, but i would recommend this guy..

The hospital was fantastic and all the staff were so caring and helpful.

I am 25 have two kids and now my breasts are back to the way they were and i couldnt be happier, its just a bit sore for few days so you really need a lot of help...

hope this helps x

"I had 2 ops with him- not good"
Posted by millie999 13 June  at  14:15

I have had a BA with nipple lift combined op back in Sept 06. There was a 2cm difference between the levels of my breast so my surgeon RENATO ZACHEDDU at the hospital group advised a nipple lift would even this out without the need for a full uplift which would result in more scars.

I had 325cc in the left and 400cc in the right implanted through the nipple- this left me with minimal scars which could hardly be seen (I went to my GP and he had to ask where the scar was!) The scar not being under the breast also means that your bra wont rub on it whilst healing- much better!

After my op I ended up MUCH larger than I wanted, I was a 34/36B, asked to go to a D cup, I ended up wearing 34F, sometimes even a 34G. Some people may think of this as a plus, until you start to realise, fitting into clothes without looking like youre wearing a tent isnt easy. Bra prices, most shops go up to a D, possibly E cup. Getting a F or G cup bumps prices up from say £10 for a niceish bra from high street shop, to £30+ from larger ladies shop- not much choice either. Going up 7 sizes in one op proved painful and the caused skin to stretch immensely

Also, the difference in nipple levels was more prominent than ever. It took me 4months of battling with THG to get corrective surgery. After months of me chasing them and endless phone calls they finally agreed to correct. I had a 2nd nipple lift on 17th April 07. When I came around I was in WAY more pain than last time, having much more morphine to cancel out the pain.

I had my dressings off last week (I dont think you would be bandaged up with this type of ba and lift) Its not pretty. But fingers crossed the swelling will settle and my breasts will even out. The level is the same now, though my right breast is, i would say at present 1 cup size smaller than the left.

My experience with The Hospital Group has been horrendous. I have been treated appallingly and left with further scars due to corrective surgery as the procedure wasnt carried out right the first time around.

I would not recommend this company to ANYONE.

****

I am now 6 weeks post op of my corrective surgery the nipple level has evened out pretty much, but one breast is still lower than the other.

When I mentioned my concerns to the Nurse- her response was, well you can talk to another surgern next time- As if it was just the nor to have to go through **3** traumatic operations to get the result I was promised the first time around!!!! Ridiculous.

THINK VERY CAREFULLY AND BE PREPARED FOR THINGS NOT TO TURN OUT QUITE AS EXPECTED.
