Ladies

I haven't even finished reading it yet but there's an article on the Daily Mail website today entitled "They're weird, vulgar and men don't even like them. So why do 26,000 British women a year disfigure themselves with breast enlargements?" by someone called Bethan Cole.

I'm absolutely raging. Why oh why do so many women have such a dreadful opinion of breast implants - by looking at the photos I'd say that thanks to the likes of VB, Pamela Anderson and Jordan who do look fake, the rest of us who go for the natural look and not too big get tarred with the same brush. Words fail me.

"Typical"
Posted by cazzifer 6 August  at  12:31

Yep typical daily mail arrogance...they know the opionion of all men and have seen every BA ever and they are all weird and vulgar!

I'm still waiting for my BA, I can see why it would annoy people who have had it done but in my opionion all that matters is that you're happy and they are right for you not some right-wing middle class newspaper. I wonder if the reporter has ever felt the insecurity and desperation of being completely flat chested.
"I am fuming."

i am fuming.
we have to do something!!!!! lol

ABSURD article.

I am even more shocked at the Daily Mail for allowing such a biased article to be shown. The most powerful reporters and writers are the ones that cover all areas of the subject, the ones who show both opinions not one cruel biased opinion based on a viewing when Bethan Cole was 9 and from an ill informed programme she has chosen to watch.

Her lack of research is clear, showing probably the 3 worst boob jobs, that of Victoria, Jordan and Jodie. Don't get me wrong, Jordan is fantastic and i think she looks great and who can really slate Victoria? But the breast enlargements Bethan Cole has chosen to show are the ones that look the most obvious and the ones that gain most attention. I mean where is Caprice, who came first for the best celebrity boob job? She has completely ignored the thousands of people like you and me that just want some boobs to gain that bit of confidence we have never had.

Who is Bethan Cole anyway? I have to laugh, for her to say most breast enlargements are done for men-what a ridiculous comment to make. I wonder what her husbands opinion on the subject is...would he pick saggy over a perk pair, I doubt it.

My BA is in a week and I cannot wait, I might just take some pictures of before and after and send them her way. I think she needs a wake up call and I wouldn't mind shoving Jodies boobs up her a**
"The article was bad but... "
Posted by ellabells 4 August  at  12:40

The comments were even worse! Just makes you realise what a cold hearted, callous and insular society we live in. Any opportunity to slag people off and make comment from a holier-than-though standpoint and most of the population will do their best to sound off.

I couldn't believe how rude people are! xx
"Wow!"
Posted by fontisuni 3 August  at  19:24

I love the comment about cancer it actually made me laugh! Women with implants are less likely to get cancer, so in fact if every woman had a ba breast cancer rates would go down and there would be less of a burden on the NHS. I laugh in the face of ignorant people and go on being happy with who I am...4 days and counting I can't wait to join the club!
"Jealous"
Posted by melodic7 1 August  at  22:52

Jealous...thats all I can say. Her man probably went off with someone with better t*ts than her poor woman, I feel sorry for her. My man loves my boobies, and I'm def not shy of a few stares.
"Lol"

They havent posted my comment!!! I did go off on one!
"Grrrr"

I could write an essay on this matter as I have a very strong opinion of what has been said, by Bethan Cole and by people in the replies to her article.
To save alot of time though, I'll sum it up just by saying that there are alot of very ignorant people in this world...and Bethan Cole is one of them!! as are alot of the people that have replied to her article. Basically ignorance is what it comes down to....they in their own little minds presume that they know why we all have breast enlargements and that we all want to be the next Jordan etc etc
The ignorance is very widespread...unless people have an interest in the real world of boob ops they have very one sided opinions. I had the experience of work colleagues/friends saying in a shocked way on more than one occasion..."oh, they're not how I imagined they'd be, I thought you'd end up like Dolly Parton/Jordan"....need I say any more. Unless people have lived feeling inadequate in the booby department, they won't ever realise what it feels like to just want to be 'normal'

Be happy girls/ladies...you know yourselves why you had them done and maybe one day attitudes may change (I wouldn't hold your breath though..lol)

And as for blokes not liking them...give a bloke the choice of a nice firm natural d cup or an augmented d cup and he may well choose the natural one....but that's not what most of us had to offer in the first place!! I think I know out of my pre op sad looking A cups or my post op perky full d/dd's which ones a bloke would opt for...lol

Anyway I think I'd better stop typing before I get really carried away...I did say at the beginning that I would not write an essay...lol

"What a ... bet she dosnt have sex)"
Posted by shibainugirl 1 August  at  19:55

had mine done 2 days ago.....dont give a S*** what she thinks about breast enlargements... i love mine and i bet they look a million times better than hers!!!

"!!!!!!!"
Posted by candypie 1 August  at  19:08

That made me so angry when reading that and most of the replys were just as bad! They have odviously never felt or seen a good pair of implanted boobs! Only huge ones like jordans, pammys and jodies!
I know few pepole with ba's there's and mine feel really soft and bounce loads.
Id love to stick my hand down the computer a slap some of them in the face....
"Seriously though, girls"
Posted by frumpyfou 1 August  at  18:59

You really have to have a really good giggle at anyone who can write this. Poor lamb: bet he hasn't had sex for a very long time, if at all...

ladies, I give you Mr Boig Raulet.

"Well said! I have been saying this for years and I hate all those types of women. I am 35 and have no real respect for these types of woman which begs the question, if in this empty headed World where so many girls are prepared to make such sex objects of themselves then what does a 20 year old male think of them?

And I am afraid to say it is down to women to drag these girls down a few pegs and not men as they will only fall foul of there wicked sharp tongues and be accused of stifling their sexual and equal rights.
In short I look upon these types of women as nothing more than prostitutes of disgusting human ego and self adoration. They should be publicly besmirched and shamed for bringing females down to such basic and sexual embodiments. We as men have been accused for decades for being misogynists but here is a new batch of women who in my opinion have lowered female reputation more than any men have ever done. These women disgust and blur my once purer image of women."

That last line just cracks me up!

Oh, just remember girls that if you do reply, DON'T swear or start throwing random insults around, as the moderators definitely will NOT publish your comments.

Be calm and, most importantly, remain at all times dignified. Let's act like ladies not trashbags, so that they can't resort to calling us bimbos based on our comments.

I can't believe what I've just read. What a total load of bulls**t.

I've got my ba in just over 2 weeks and articles like this just make the decision to go ahead that much harder.

No matter what our reasoning is for having our ba's we are going to get tarred with the same brush.

I'm so bloody angry, I've posted my response but somehow I don't think it'll get published.

I'd like to get hold of that bloody Bethan Cole and stick her face down my new cleavage when I get it!!!

Arrrrgggghhhhhhhhhh

"My response - let's see if it gets posted."
Posted by frumpyfou 1 August  at  18:36

"What a tragically vicious one-sided article.

It says more about Bethan Cole's bile and spite-filled nature than giving a true insight into breast augmentation and the varied reasons behind such a decision.

It may surprise Ms Cole and many others to know that rather more people than she would ever suspect have had breast augmentation, done discreetly and in such a way that one would never know unless told.

Whilst I would agree that there are a large number of girls & women out there who possibly have surgery for the wrong reason and end up with an extremely fake & rather unfortunate appearance, Ms Cole's sneering and patronising rant merely serves to highlight her own desperate insecurities.

... then again, she writes for the Daily Mail. Can one really expect a balanced viewpoint?
I'm surprised such an article wasn't signed off with "Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells".

I agree I have posted a comment on the end of the article!

How does a reporter manage to report on an article of which she knows absolutely nothing about, her information came from a telly programme last week (which was total crap) and a sneaky peak in the showers of some women years ago!

I too am fed up with women who have breast jobs being made to feel like they are some self obsessed vain nut cases, that should be very happy with their perky a cups as men prefer them.

I took the decision to have implants as I had no breast tissue at all, the only thing that protruded from my chest was my nipples. Now I feel like a women, with a great pair of very realistic soft squishy boobs and as for other men, who cares it was a decision my husband and I made together - and I look fantastic.

Newspaper reports like this make you wonder what substance there is to anything they print.
"Because"
Posted by frumpyfou 1 August  at  18:50

she works for the Daily Mail. Crap, right wing, and wannabee crusaders for moral rectitude etc.

they love their sensationalist journalism because it's what sells. It gets people angry one way or another, which earns publicity ...
"My comment still not posted"
Posted by emrussell1979 1 August  at  16:52

But i have read through all 69 comments left so far and i had to leave a response to this one!

"Better still, when these 'plastic -chested' women find that they have got cancer as a result, should they be treated on the NHS and burden the service even more. They'll want public sympathy and will do a program on the BBC to alay blame for compo!"

How disgusting is that!!!
"Mine not posted either!"
Posted by fee1967 1 August  at  17:06

My comment on the Daily Mail website hasn't been published either - me thinks its probably because I wasn't too delicate with my remarks - I was livid!!

I'm off to the spa tomorrow to chill for the day and wear a bikini in public for the first time since my BA last September and I will be wearing it with pride - I love my boobs and I'm damn sure if that journalist Ms Cole was there too I'd look a damned sight better than she does, even at 41!!!

"Fake breasts"
Posted by tracy131081 1 August  at  16:02

I have just had a read of that article and what I think is maybe more interesting is the comments that people have written!! Ok there was positive comments but an awful lot of negative quite surprising really that something so personal should evoke such reactions.. at the end of the day what does it matter to anyone else what an individual chooses to do to their own body be it for correction or vanity and when people were saying about spending the money to have a boob job they should spend some time in Dafur or sadan i'm sorry you could say that applied if you opted for a top of the range car or luxury holiday, at least with a boob job it lasts for life (almost anyway!

Anyway what I'm trying to get at is that a BA certainly has an impact and I wondered why people thought that may be the case? Is there a jealousy there? are men intimidated by fake boobs?

Also the feel of fake boobs, I haven't had my BA yet currently i'm a 32a/b and my boobs actually feel very lumpy I have since discovered that some pills can make your breast tissue grow in ..for want of a better word..clumps and to be honest I've only ever felt false boobs (which now I think of it is somewhat wierd - I'd never ask one of my naturally big busted friends if i could cop a feel but the minute another mate had hers done we are all there giving them a good grope!!!)at the time of feeling them (having never felt a naturally big boob I thought they felt fine better than mine anyway..Have I got that wrong? Girls who have had BA's do you prefer the feel pre or post op?
