| Thread started by: | "Any black or asian ladies who have had ba? scarring?" Posted by purplealy 21 February at 19:29
Hi Ladies,
I am of Afro Caribbean background and one thing that concerns me is the type of scarring that will be left after the BA procedure.
Are there any girls of the same or similar background who have had the procedure? Or maybe you know someone of the same background who has?
Was the outcome what you expected? How was the scarring?
Would like to hear from you about your experience(s).

Hi ya
I have just read your post. I hope i can be of assistance. I have just recently had another boob job. The first time around (over 4 yrs ago) my scare was fine, very faint. I used Elastoplast Scar Reducer which is excellent for keloid scars old scars etc. My scar was very flat and almost invisible. I had them redone 4 weeks ago and again i will start using elastoplast, infact i just bought a box today in boots. Bio Oil from boots is also excellent. It's good for stretch marks (i woke up from surgery with a stretch mark near my collar bone!!) and for softening the skins, allowing it to stretch. My stretch mark as almost all but disappeared since using the Bio oil!! Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi ya babe, Im to the rescue! I see you have had no replys for days, soz only just found this one. So as you can see from above i am halfcast - I was 32a pre-op and am now 32d post of - i had my op 14dec 06, the results are fantastic and i couldnt have wished for a better surgeon. As for the scarring - well i used and am still using palmers cocoa butter full of vitamin e, it has worked wonders, during the middle of recovery it helped with the itching and slight soreness, and now i do it religously twice a day and will do till the tube is finished - i may even get sum more depending on lightness/darkness of the scar, but i can honestly say you have nothing to worry about, because the scar is so far up and under the boob you will only c it if you physically lift the boob up, mine is faint and im very happy with it so far. Any more questions on anything to do with ba just ask ok hun xxx

Where did you have your implant placed, above or under the muscle? Also, if you don't mind me asking, what size implant did you have?

Aww thanks!
Thank you for your response!
The info you have supplied is very helpful. Thank you so much!
I use Palmers, so I'll ensure I keep it handy when I decide to go ahead with my BA.
One more question. I want to achieve a fuller, rounded, pert, lifted appearance. I'm currently a drooping 32b.
I find many women of my background tend to have this similar appearance in breast shape.
Do you think having a BA will give me the appearance I want?
(Sorry a little hung over today, hope I'm making sense)

You and me both babe, with the hangovas ive already been back to bed today for a couple of hrs.
Thats ok, let me no if you do decide to go ahead with the op. Who are you looking at going with babe?
If they are that droopy then you will have alot of breast tissue, so i suppose they will use a larger implant, obviously depending on wot you require. I have just that a fuller pert and lift, and i only started of as a full a cup.
Yes i definately think the BA will give you the appearance you desire, you can also discuss this with your advisor and also the surgeon when you have made your mind up. xxx

Hey you!
Long time no speak! Hope you are well?
I hope you don't mind me asking, did you have unders or overs?
I'm hoping to have my BA later this year, the only thing holding me back is money at the mo.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Take care,
A x

Thanks again you've been very helpful!
I'll either go with Transform Medical Group (Hopefully Mr Singh) or Mybreast who I have consultation with next month.
Thats kinda put my mind at ease. As I didn't want to have an uplift as well as BA.
Will definitely bring these things up with the surgon I see at Mybreast.
Thanks again! Will keep you posted!
Hope your feelin better xXx!
