| Thread started by: | "Day 47 of my cycle and still no period" Posted by michelle28071 7 July at 11:04
We have been TTC for now 2 years and in March this year I miscarried at 10 weeks.
In my last 2 pregnancies I have taken a test and got a positive on day 29 of my cycle. I am now at day 47 and done about 6 tests and they were all neg.
I have been to the doctor and all he said was to wait until my next cycle comes around so have to wait another 10 days.
I wish I just knew if I was or wasnt.
I can not remember once when my period was even late 2 days never mind 19 days.
Does anyone know whether the miscarraige could affect my perid in this way?

We also have been ttc for 2 years and in March i found out i was pregnant. i was sooo excited. I already have 3 boys, 12, 11 and 3. Easy peasy on these, woke up the next morning and said i want to be pregnant next month and bingo it happend. this one though is working out to be a little harder. Well in May, i went for a scan and basically i was going to have a miscarriage!! and so i did.
I have spent a fortune on test kits, ovulation kits and its only be 2 periods since my miscarriage. Its like a waiting game with a huge emotional stress tag attached to it.
By the sounds of it you are likely to be pregnant if you are 19 days late. It does say in the clearblue test kits, that test 19 days after your last unprotected intercourse. So hopefully your waiting game will be over soon. Let us know how you get on.

Hi, Sorry to hear about your loss. I too had a miscarriage in 2005, then fell pregnant after the next cycle. We're ttc again. My last but one period was 52 days (previously 25, 31)then I started bleeding heavily again 16 days after that, so my cycle is all over the place. I think your body does take time to re-adjust though. I spent so much money on preg tests during that 52 day cycle! I know it's not want you want to hear, but maybe your doctor is right, wait for your next cycle. If you are still having problems with it, go back to see the doc. Good luck hun.
