Hello,

wondered if someone could give me some advice.

Last night i did an ov test stick and it was positive except physically I have no mucus/discharge (sorry tmi!) Although I did have a little a few days ago.

Does this mean I am about to ov or have finished ov? Kinda hoping it's the end of ov as my bf is out at a stag do all day/night!

Would appreciate some advice!

Am new here and am finding this site so helpful as none of my friends are TTC and so have no one to ask these questions to at home!

He's back from stag but we've been v busy today. Will prob have a go tonight but prob too late. Good practice anyway!!
Won't bother doing another ov test as I'll only get depressed if it comes up neg!
Have had 2 mc's (Nov 06 and Jan 08) so do everything I can to avoid any form of disappointment.

How long have you girls been trying?

Sorry to hear about your mc's. Hearing/reading about mc's always makes me feel lucky, because I did not have to go through anything like that - so far. I know very well how hard and sad it is.
We've been trying for 5 years and 3 months. But we had unprotected interc. for about another 7 years prior to that. We just had been so nive thinking that I only ovulate on day 13 and 14. These days we always avoided sex. Looking back, I can not believe how irrisponsible we've been. But all that *stuff* was tabu, nobody would talk to us and explain to us. We thought we knew everything by reading one or two articles. lol
Never mind. We know now! lol
Anyway, all the best this month. I'm sure yo covered your ovulation in time. bye bye...

Yeah its quite nice to have this site to have a rant or moan, no one else would understand! We're all in the same boat here.
I've been TTC for 10 months now, I'm 32 my OH is 28. Just started testing for OV and taking temps for the last 2 mths.

Oh, ps I am bit gutted too at the mo as this weekend was the best time for me and OH to get busy, but we didn't manage to do it at all! Haven't had a positive on the OV tests either though, so maybe its not too late..... Or mlaybe I just don't ovulate.. arrgghh drives you mad doesn ... ?

Oh gutted! Somehow it makes eveything so much harder when the OH isn't available/can't be bothered!! Try not to blame him though! We had massive fights at weekend and think I've been completly unresonable.
Try to stay positive. That was first OV test I did and think it was just pure luck that I picked right day oherwise I might have thought I didn't ov either! Watch out for the ol' pain down one side. Didn't think I ever got that b4 but after I tested pos it was v painful. Might b mind tricks!

I'm at same sort of stage as you, I'm hoping to have a positive on the digi test today, was this cycle day last month that I got a positive.
Someone told me its best to do the OV test in the afternoon?? No idea why though.
As for your BD'ing, don't worry, the sperm lives for a few days inside you, but if you can do some more today just for good luck is he back from his stag weekend??

Did you use cheap ovu tests? Because in my experience they can give you folse reading. If you used digi tests I would trust them. They are the best. If you had ovu test positive last night, you are about to ovulate today or tomorrow. Ovu test actually detects HCG hormone, which makes your egg to mature and then pop out. Ovu test detects HCG hormone BEFORE the egg pops out.

Last time we had intercourse was Thurs night (sorry if tmi!) Chances r we prob wont again til tomorrow as he's not around today/tonight! Do you think there was still a chance of conception on Thurs (B4 OV) and if not do you think tomorrow will be too late?!
Am panicing now and getting v cross with OH as he was out last night too!

Be together as much as you can - you never know.

Normaly what I do, is that I test in the morning and save urine from the night before. If the morning test is positive I test saved evening water. If that is positive I know I haven't got much time, maby max.24 hours till end of ovu. If evening water is negative I know I have got about 48 hours till the end of ovulation.

If you had positive test last night I would reccoment to test tonight (if possible) or very early in the morning. (do not go to the loo for at least 4 hrs. - put allarm clock on if necessary!!!)It still might be positive and you would have a great chance.
Don't be too upset if another test is negative. If you ovulated today, the sperm from thursday IS still there to do the job - it can live upto 72 hours.
Everything is fine, you are right on track. Trust me, you are in 2ww. All the best.xxx
