Thanks so much for your replies, I honestly didnt have a clue what to expect, so basically im looking at having bloods & other samples taken really? I havent got a clue what exactly they'll be testing for, its all so new to me & tbh I never thought i'd be in this position

To start with I pretty much threw the tests option back in the hospitals face but I think now my temper has calmed about it & ive accepted its happened & I cant change that I knew alot of ladies would really like the oppurtunity to have the tests done after 2 m/c's rather than 3 & felt a little guilty & ungrateful for the chance.

I'll keep you all up to date, AF is due anytime now & the old familiar cramps are there, god how I wish she'd just drop off the face of the earth!

Hiya Ladies, has some of you may know I suffered a m/c at christmas & another at easter

Because of the lack of care & infection etc I filed a formal complaint & the head of gynea/midwifery & nurse manager came to my house, because they were scared I was going to seek legal advice they offered me the chance to be seen about WHY the m/c's happened (if its findable) to help with any future pregnancies, to start with I refused, I felt it was 'too little too late' but Im considering TTC again sometime towards the end of the year maybe so I rung & the offer was still avaliable & they're going to send me an appointment.

Now I just dont know WHAT they test for or HOW they test you?!?

I know a few ladies on here have had tests & discovered what was wrong & I was wondering if you could advise me please? I have 1 daughter whos 2 and her pregnancy & labour was perfect from beginning to end so im really baffled.

... I can help really as I've only had 2 m/c and they apparently only do tests after 3. I have been booked in to have a hysteroscopy but that's more to do with my bicornuate uterus and irreg/heavy AF's than anything. They have however agreed to do a simple blood test (as I'm having bloods taken to see if I've got PCOS anyway) and it's to do with clotting and would tell them whether I need aspirin when I next get pg. I've had 3 pgs (one of which I had my healthy son 3 yrs ago) but in all 3 pgs I bled at 8wks and even with my son I thought it was all over as lost clots etc but amazingly he stuck with it and was fine (although I did bleed until about 19 wks pg). The consultant did say she thinks it has been more bad luck than anything as I have had a healthy son with my DH but I'm hoping this will be the answer I've been looking for to be honest. The only thing keeping me going in terms of m/c again is that at least they will deffo do some more thorough tests next time so I might not have to go through it again. So I'd grab the tests with both hands if I were you.

is much the same as Clare's - they did blood tests after my m/c as the placenta when removed was very clotted with blood which isn't normal. Again, they tested for antiphosphilipids and lupus and I was all clear. However they are sure that the clotting prevented any nutrients getting to the baby so it died. I too am on the baby aspirin now though and all is going well - I'm 23 weeks tomorrow.

My first pregnancy (12 years ago) was also completely uneventful so I think maybe we've just been unlucky.

I had some tests after my 3rd m/c, can't say for sure it'll be the same for you cos really didn't feel that my hospital were very thorough or efficient (lost my notes, doc had to ask me why I was there etc) but all they did with me was blood tests. They took samples from me and hubby and as far as I understand they test for stuff like sticky blood, killer cells (where your body thinks the baby is a foreign object and rejects it, unlikely for you as you already have your daughter) and chromosome incompatability between you and your partner. With me they found nothing and advised that I could take baby aspirin with my next pregnancy although they couldn't guarantee that it would make any difference (!!!) some docs think it helps with implantation. To be honest I didn't bother and am now 24 weeks pregnant with a healthy girl so really think I was just unlucky. Hope it goes well for you, keep us informed hun and all the best.
