im nearly 6 wks (have also posted on other board) had period like pains and some mirky discharge yesterday but today the pains have gone but have a brownish streaky discharge. i have had 4 previous misses and dont think i could cope if i have another one, my head is everywhere. i goin hospital tomorrow for an internal scan.

i had my scan yesterday and everythin seemed fine and is just implation spotting. still early days so just keeping my fingers crossed. got to go back in 3 weeks for another

First of all, brown discharge is much more positive than bright red blood with clots. Because it's brown it indicates that it's old blood.

Remember that all sorts is going on inside at the moment, things are moving around to accomodate baby. I've had 2 miscarriages myself in the last 12 months so I know how worrying it is.

My friend had red bleeding at 6 weeks and when she went for her scan she was told it was a nice healthy little pregancy and she's now 17 weeks gone.

I hope everything goes well tomorrow. Let us know how you get on and most of all, try to think positive, it's much better for you and the baby to stay as calm as you can (easier said than done, I know).
