hi i am new to this,i am just wondering if there is any1 out there in the same situation as me.i started 2 miscarry on the 19th of sept i was 9 wks, i was sent for a scan it looks like i had lost it at 6wks and i had a d+c on the 27th.That all went ok i was in quite alot of pain b4 i had it done, but as soon as i came back form the operating theatre the pain stopped.it all came as a bit of a shock as i already have 4 healthy kids and all of their pregnancies were straight 4ward.i wanted to know whether or not it is ok 2 try 4 another baby straight away or whether it is best 2 wait for a while,as i feel that being pregnant again will help with what i have just been through.

I had a mc nearly 8 weeks ago and now about 6-7 weeks pregnant. My doc said its easlier to become pregnant again as the barbarer (sorry cant spell) breaks when you are having a mc, but they do like you to have a cycle so it makes their job easlier to give you a due date. Theres a few of us on here, who have became pregnant within a month of a mc but there's someone i know from this site who took 2 years to become pregnant. You try again when you feel ready, no-one knows your body as good as you. Take Care

hi there, im sorry for your loss, i know how difficult it is. I had a mc at 6 weeks in late august. we started trying again almost immediatly but nothing happened for the first month, however i am now 6 weeks pregnant! people advised me to wait a few months but to be honest i just couldnt. i longed to be pregnant again and it was all i thought about.

so i think the timing is really down to you and your partner. its when you both feel ready to try again.

good luck! take care

Hi,

I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. Hope you're ok.

I think when it comes to trying again, the timing is really up to you. Some people feel comfortable trying again straight away and others prefer to wait a while.

I think the medical profession sometimes say to wait one cycle, but as I understand it, that is just to help them with dating the pregnancy and calculating your due date etc.

Hope everything works out for you and if there's anything I can do, just shout up.

take care,

H xx
