hi, ive had 5 m/cs at 8/7/6/6/6 wks. when i had my second we went to a private clinic in liverpool who transferred me to an nhs hospital for test. they discovered i had sticky blood and had to take asprin but m/cd again for the 3rd and 4th time. they asked me to have this other test for natural killer cell in the womb, the test wasnt very nice as they had to take samples of my womb on day 21. the results came back showing very high levels which means that when the egg tries to implant the natural killer cells think its a foreign body and fight it to kill it off. when i was pregnant the last time i started steriods to try and get them down to a normal level but missed again. this test is still in testing so not proven that the steriods work but have worked with other women.
the hospital wont look at you until youve had 3 m/c thats why we went private, and because of my age (nearly 40) they sent me to the nhs for the tests. try and get some tests done to try and find out why its happening. i had some people think it gets easier the more you have and thats just not the case, it does get harder but with time it does get better. i started my first councelling session at the hospital yesterday, im going to give them a try to see if they help.
please dont give up, WE WILL get there in the end, if you want to chat im here for you and so are all the other girls xxxxoooo y
