hi all i have a strange question i had evcuation on fri as baby had no heartbeat i stopped bleeding by sat and what i really want to no when can i have sex again and do i have to use precuations me and hubby do want to try again but we so confused but i do feel i need the closness with my hubby just dont know what to do please help vikki

I had a d&c and was advised by my surgeon that even if the bleeding stopped before hand that we were not to have sex for at least a week.As it is a surgical procedure there is a higher risk of infection in the first seven days,hence why they put you on antibiotics.After they have finished,then you should be ok to resume as normal.

Personally I waited until after the antibiotics finished as I didn't want to run the risk of getting a secondary infection that could possibly either cause further miscarriage or delay trying even longer.

When you feel ready then you and your lad have sex. I wasnt told about when we can or cant and havent heard if anyone has. My mc happened on a thursday and my bleeding was just spotting on the sat and we started again on the sat night coz i wanted the closness and within 9 days of the mc i was pregnant again, something about your womb being open makes it easier for his swimmers to get in. So its up to you if you use precuations. Hope that helps
